I don't care if the Flames win or lose as long as they play hard and take a pound of flesh.

If they want to get Barrie in I would take Miromanov out over Pachal. Pachal is a more physical presence and better defensively. As for Coronato that's tougher. I don't want to break up that 4th line and he isn't a 4th line guy. Would have to be Honzek coming out.

Excited to see what our fourth line with Lomberg and Klapa can do against the whiny oilers. Hoping to see some good hits.

I was thinkig the same thing about Barrie in for Miromanov. I do like Miromanov, but he's kind of like Barrie in a lot of way. There were a couple of times in the past couple of games where Miromanov looked like a forward converted to a defenseman.

What gives me some comfort for the entire season negatively against oilies is that it isn’t like there are any farm players or draft picks knocking on the door to get called up. As much as we laugh about the age of the roster, in reality this is the best team that the oilers can select. Even in net, this is it. And the inevitable injuries haven’t even started yet. This is it. Peak oilers. It is a roster that can only be added to with injuries due to cap limitations. Actual draft picks running out…
And the Draisatl, Bouchard, and Mavi extensions haven’t even started yet.
Future is bright…future is flames!

Make them feel pain. Mental or physical.

Coronato is an oddball in this lineup. Hard to slot in.
I wish Crushnikov was playing tonight.

Both, make it be both. I desire the scenario where the Flames are 3-0 and the Oilers 0-3.

Are the oilers really starting the season with three straight home games?

Four, actually. Their next game after tonight is a home game, too.

Enough with the tinfoil hats. There’s no grand scheme to get any team anywhere. Oilers get PPs because of embellishment yes, but not because the league has it in for the Flames and are carving the Oilers path to the cup…

I expect the greesers to come out desperate and holding their sticks very tightly. Must win for The Flames.

League is spending millions of dollars promoting the Oilers and McDavid in the US right now...they certainly want them to do well. What other team is starting with a 4 game home stand? Its nothing to do with the Flames the league 100% has an Oiler boner right now though.

No amount of money is going to get Americans to care about a hockey team in Edmonton.
If there is a conspiracy, its to get the dynamic duo out of Edmonton and into a bigger market.
There’s no Oilers industrial complex.
