My impressions, Oilers are soft, front-runners, that can only thrive on the PP.

They had a very effective PK in the playoffs that they actively dismantled in the offseason for some reason

Almost as if trading away your entire PK team would make your PK worse.

Well, two games in, they look old, slow, small, soft, and their PK is ####.

Outscored 11-2 so far, and all we're hearing from the media? Excuses.

Gotta love it!

I think this should be the next thread title. They are so crappy that we don’t even have to say it because it’s in the name.

The OOT had 3 SHUTOUTS and was with perfect PK, no team scored a PPG.

Jake Oettinger made 35 saves in the Stars 3-0 win over the Islanders. Seguin with two goals.

Cam Talbot was impressive in stopping all 42 shots in the Red Wings 3-0 victory over the Predators.

Lukas Dostal makes 30 saves in the Ducks 2-0 win over the Sharks. The PK was 5/5 Sharks and 3/3 Ducks.

It's ok I'm pretty sure both teams started with tough road trips against other elites...checks notes...maybe not

I don't, usually, catch the names of the commentators, unless I recognize them as ex-players, like Hrudey or Ferraro. Living in the US, I am usually not immersed in the same kind of NHL media that you poor Canadians have to put up with! I do like to hear the Edmonton homers crying when failing, though. Even the local guys are anonymous to me. Except for running across the name chiron for a show hyping the Hockey Club, that now plays about 150 miles W of me, I wouldn't have known that Eddie Olcyzk's kid, Nick, was the talking head I was hearing. Hell, I've followed the Blackhawks since 1965, and since Pat Foley retired, I have no idea who the voice on my TV has been!

Speaking of which, circle Nov. 26 on your calendar, when The Hockey Club plays its first game ever against Le Club de Hockey.
