On the Perry goal, assisted by ekholm and Skinner, total age contributing to that event was 105.

Oilers PK on the season is operating at 16.7%
Who would have guessed that getting rid of your to PK guys (who operated at an impossible to repeat level in the playoffs) would have resulted in disaster. Lol

Oilers have the oldest average age in the league by a year.

Not sure how they will unravel the mess that is their roster and cap situation.

Would be so incredibly awesome to crush the oilers at home tomorrow. Right now, everyone is dismissing their poor start as “nothing to worry about”… but losing badly to your hated rival at home will make the panic start to creep in.

Don’t get me wrong… it will take a lot more losses for the oiler-loving Sportsnet and TSN crews to speak ill of the oilers. They’ll cling to what the oilers did last year as an example that they can lose any number of games and still win the cup. Watch the oilers be officially eliminated from making the playoffs and Ron McLean will somehow still believe they’ll go on a run to win the cup this year. E=NG

That's half of their entire goals scored.

Also should be noted the league gifted the Oilers, at least on paper, an absolute muffin schedule to start the season with a four-game home stand with 3 of the 4 teams not making the playoffs a year ago and the Jets who got dummied in the first round. I'm sure it was planned to get the already anointed 2024-25 Cup Champions a 4-0 start so there isn't a repeat of last season's start.

Is there a team that has a softer schedule to start the year?

I noticed a real overuse of “dig in”, “right now”, and “dig in right now” amongst oilers players and media. Just watch for it. Even the coach is overusing it.

Spector and staples use it as a cliche and a crutch due to an inability to write at a higher level, both due to a lack of skill and the audience. They are perfect fits for each other.

Players speak in cliches and sound bites, so it’s easy for them to talk without saying anything.

Buddies and pals though will intentionally overuse catchphrases as an inside joke and to grind the first pal.

I do wonder if some of the Oilers are mocking Mavi and the amazon prime video though. I thought that mavi’s rant was funny and pathetic concurrently, and if all I personally worried about was hockey games and locker room culture, I would totally be onboard with repeated overuse of a terrible phrase.

So GFG, right the f now, dig f’n in. See how easy it is?

Haha stupid oilers.
