Goaltenders are having a rough first week across the league.

How does Marchand get a delay of game penalty for shooting the puck out of play in the Habs zone?

Edit - I guess the refs can rule it a penalty in any zone if they deem it intentional, which it looked like it was for sure, lol.

Sabres start the season 0-3.

Will that franchise ever be good again in our lifetimes? Just seem eternally below average.

A little worried about Florida. Barkov had a bad crash into the boards and needed help off the ice. If they lose him for a long period of time and if they have any kind of a Stanley cup hangover, the pick the flames have to give the Habs could be higher in the draft than we like. I’m pulling for Florida to go deep into the playoffs so that pick is late… assuming the flames pick will be in the top 10. I guess if the flames end up finishing outside the bottom 10 in the league, we might want Florida to do poorly - but not so poorly that the Florida pick is in the top 10 - because then it means the flames don’t get a 1st round pick in the 2025 draft at all I think.

I hate that trade so much.

If not, why choose Thursday nights? Why not do it every night? Redzone makes sense as it's on Sunday.

I believe they are testing it out on Thursdays, with an eye to roll it out to more nights when they bid on a larger NHL broadcast package. I am enjoying having it on while I work on other things.

It’s one game into the season. Why don’t we see how the Flames play? They just had a great come back against a divisional rival.

The Hockey Club with a comeback win on the road. The only team, so far, to start 2-0.

For sure. It’s more just a case of no matter how the season goes, I’ll likely be constantly concerned about what I think should happen with both teams… simply because of the conditions of that trade. Would love for it not to matter but it feels like it will.

I hear ya, I will be glad when this trade is closed as its so complicated and rather annoying.

Yeah. Already looks like an NHL star. Eklund seems to have taken a big step as well… never noticed him as much in previous seasons but looks like a legit first line player now. Great signing by San Jose to get Toffoli to play on a line with those two.

He’s .906. They've played two games and he was .968 in the first one.
