Too bad Brz isn't here to get in on the whale torching but Kuzmenko can pop an extra goal in his stead.

Can't wait for the game and watch the evolution of this team. I wouldn't call Calgary a scary team, but I love the added size this year as I have felt that they have been trending too far the other way.

 Klapka 6'8"
 Bahl 6'6"
 Mantha 6'5"
 Honzek 6'4
Lomberg 5'9" (but plays like he is 6'9"!!)

I look forward to adding McQueen (6'5") into the lineup next season! (I wish).

Lots of sandpaper and lots of size in the prospect pool, alongside a lot of skill too (and with skill in some cases, which is the best combo).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Flames catch these guys looking past them tonight and take the win - the Canucks will really have to work tonight to get the win, and they just might get overwhelmed by the Flames' skating tonight. Should be a fun game, win or lose.

Not really worried about a bounce back for Huberdeau this year. Just hope the young guys like Zary, Pospisil, Coronato slowly take over during the course of the season. Maybe Honzek surprises as well.
 8-5 Flames

Agreed - In my mind Conroy was going for high skill but some of his work has included size more than I would have thought

Hopefully we get off to a good start tonight. GDT are going to have a split camp of fans this year between those cheering for a win and those who want to see as many losses as possible. Put me in the let's win them all camp. GFG!

I don't think anyone is cheering on losses.

Most are realistic that this is a terrible roster, and they will probably get beat a lot this year.

Go flames, have no expectations for this season except wanting to see a hard working team that annoys the #### out of our rivals. Hopefully we see that tonight.

I am. The concept used to sicken me, but we need to build through the draft.

Having said that, this team shouldn't be outworked most nights. Maybe they surprise us.

I think you should always cheer for a win.

But its easier accepting a loss, especially as we get alter in the season if we start getting closer to the bottom.

But how can you watch your team play and actually hope they lose?
