If he turns out to be a legit #1 guy and not the best tandem goalie in the league that's a fair deal. He is only two years removed from a Vezina trophy.
Making 8.25 he better be playing 60 plus, can he do that? I don't think so.
I don't believe in paying goalies this type of money unless they are elite, and the league has maybe 5 elite goalies and I would be hard pressed to pay any of them over 8M per season.

Same AAV as Swayman, and Swayman is the better goalie. Also, Swayman's contract is for 8 years, and he's 25.
Ullmark's is for 4 years, and he's 31. He's played more than 41 games ONCE in his career.
Based on what other goalies are getting, this is a terrible deal for the Sens.
Swayman is probably better but it will be interesting to see how they perform away from each other. Ullmark had some pretty good numbers on some pretty bad Buffalo teams, so I think he's a little more proven. And in this case, 4 years for a 31-year old a lot better than 8.
