Watched most of the Everett game last night. Landon DuPont is stupid good. Playing PP, last couple minutes and in OT. Please get every 2027 first round pick. All of them

Can’t remember if it’s top two or top three, but up until 2019 the Rangers and the Flames were the only two teams in the league that had never drafted a top two or three player.
As it stands now, it is only the Flames and the Golden Knights. Utah too, I suppose, if you consider teams (location) and not organizations that have relocated.
Here’s hoping the hockey gods finally give the Flames a break and they land McKenna or DuPont. I suspect DuPont will be the longer shot of the two. With the new arena open by then, I suspect ownership will be in full court press to make the playoffs. The prospects they have now and the ones they acquire over the next two years will have to hit plus I wouldn’t be surprised, in the least, that they chase UFA’s and/or start trading picks for established players.
Doesn't turn 16 until May 28th, and is already tied for 6th in scoring by D in the WHL, with 6 points in 5 games. It's still early, but that's an 82-point pace over 68 games.
5'11",178lbs and still growing.

I don’t think we’ve seen something like this from a defenseman before. He’s just getting his feet wet and he’s over a point a game. This kid is really good. Like really, really good

I don't think he's got much height to gain. He was an early grower like his dad was.

Tied for fourth in league for points, 11 in 7 games, the scoring leader Van Olm leader is 5+ years older than him, leads his team in plus minus. Thought he would have a bit of learning curve to get used to the bigger players and he did, for a period and a half.

Yeah. I think the ideal timeline is we draft DuPont in 2027, and immediately partner him with the newly signed UFA Cale Makar.
All-Calgary-Born 1st pairing == 2 cups on DuPonts ELC.
