Don’t care where you’re from. That emotion is totally raw.

Surprised they would allow that to be released. The room should be private.

But I guess in these times everything everyone does gets filmed and posted.

Leaving an 11-year-old kid on the side of the road would be peak Oiler fan.

Josh Brown waived after just signing a 3 year deal with the Oilers.

Hilarious.

It looks manufactured to me. It's like Connor has this vague idea of what "Leadership" looks like in his mind's eye, and he is projecting from that into this rather bizarre, petulant temper tantrum, because he does not understand it. I agree that he is sincerely upset—I just don't think this "raw" emotion is well placed, and I have my suspicions about how genuine the performance is.

Their skin is thin enough that I wouldn't put it past one to do that.

Spector probably has a few 11 year olds blocked on X because he can't handle even juvenile criticism of his precious ex-con babies.

That Oilers blueline looks weak, especially if Nurse continues to blow chunks.

Are you surprised that an Oilers behind the scenes docu crew would have the social IQ of Michael Scott?

That's exactly what it looks like to me. The passion is there. The desire to win is there. Even the desire to lead is there. He simply has no idea what that looks like, or how to go about it.

We're not even a quarter of the way through the 21st century and Edmonton is no good.

I said this before, but at the end of the clip there is a guy closing what appears to be a curtain.

Now...I've never played Professional Hockey but it was my assumption that all locker-rooms had doors.

You can see the guy ushering the cameraman away from the team, however, the 'sound-proofness' of curtains is notoriously low.

For audio it wouldn’t matter. Most if not all the players and staff will be mic’d. certainly McDavid is. I’m sure the dressing rooms are.

I would not be surprised if it’s genuine, but learned behaviour

His dad, based on appearance alone, gives 80s movie ###### vibes. I can picture him shouting at young Connor, until his level of skill achieved was acceptable. Which it never was.

I am kind of kidding. But have also seen enough hockey parents that are too intense and their kids are really not that good and there’s nothing at stake

I kind of feel sad for that kid.

But then again he’s making 12 million bucks a year and is pretty fast now.

Suppose his dad yelling at him gave him skills up there with the best in the world, surely he can just yell at his teammates and they too will improve

So they start the season with a total of 6 defense on the roster?
