Fantastic deal and term for the Flames, phenomenal opportunity to dangle him as deadline bait. I like it!

It's fine.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Great work by Connie. We gain an experienced player as well as a potential payoff at TDL.

Nice tidy work. Flip him at the deadline and we are laughing.

Looks like 9 of the 18 skaters on opening night will be 30+. I wonder how the average age of that roster will compare.
No shortage of vets on this team. It’s another year or two before it truly becomes a young team.

That's expected of a rebuilding team. A lot of young guns with a stable of solid veterans.
I don't mind it one bit.

Sounds about right. He would have to have a career year to return anything more than that.

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
Feels like $1.25M retained would get you an additional 4th on a deadline trade so this seems fair.

A bit redundant but it's fine.
Barrie + Kuzmenko on the PP this year should guarantee we don't see the same embarrassing output rate as last year.

I like it. He still has the ability to get the puck up ice to the forwards. I don't care if he is suspect defensively. I'd rather some of the forwards have offensive output, which he should help with.
