I was thinking the same thing.

United just got Woodshedded here...does Ten Hag have incriminating evidence against someone or something...I agree with the Senator up there, there seems like no structure.

He just tosses people onto the pitch and hopes for the best.

And uh...I dont mean to shame anyone, but Casemiro doesnt look...fit.

Teams must look at Old Trafford on the schedule as 'Points to be had.'

2 shots on goal. At home. Out-possessed.

That van de Ven run though? He just carved United apart. It was like a hot knife through butter.

Under-rated IMO.

If you want a comparison? I'd say that run was very 'Bale-like.'

He just went through them like they weren't even there.

I just got back from watching ‘The Substance’.

Looks like things were uglier at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag has to be toast now.

I'm just watching the replays of it and I'm of 2 minds.

I dislike Bruno Fernandes, he is a rat player.

First though, it does look like he pretty clearly slips and his leg goes up because of it, so its accidental rather than malicious or anything.

But his studs do come up. So...I'd have preferred to see a yellow there, but 'letter of the law?' I'm not so sure.

I think if the Ref had gone yellow not too many fans or pundits would have been up in arms over that.

But then again...its Bruno, so Good Riddance.

Honestly?

'Park the Bus and lump it up to Zirkzee and hope' was the only discernible plan. They may as well can ETH and hire Big Sam Allardyce if thats their plan.

He's cheaper and works for Pints of Wine.

He may not make them better, but he'll keep them up!

Yeah, I have no idea how they justify the appeal. I said when it happened that to me, that was super soft, but by the letter of the law, it was red. So, VAR reviews it and agrees that it should be red, and I guess that's that. But now the damage is done, and the red gets rescinded despite being reviewed at that point? What is the point of the VAR review and confirmation if it doesn't end up staying a red?

Yeah, honestly this is stupid.

I thought the red was harsh, but it was given and not rescinded. So stand by it. So what, Bruno is suspended a bit? Now VAR looks even dumber than it used to and thats bar even Hermes Conrad couldn't limbo under.

Either have the balls to stand by your decisions or scrap the thing entirely.

You know, if a guy's shoelace or mustache is offside the goals dont count? What is the standard here. VAR had all day to decide on that Bruno call.

I watched it once and...'by the letter of the law' a Red could be justified. It was harsh, but not necessarily 'wrong.'

Overturning it now just erodes VAR's credibilitiy which...well it cant stand much more erosion.

This allows ETH to blame the red card instead of losing 3-0 anyway as they were getting completely dominated by a superior Spurs team (even Arsenal fans know that).

Now we get more ETH runway and everyone can enjoy the circus.
If VAR had acted, ETH might be sacked and United could be on their way to some sort of future hope. Who would want that?
Things played out quite well IMO.

Yeah, the first half stats, before the red, were pretty damning for United. Spurs couldn't finish.

The Red bought him time.

As far as match fixing goes, a little more subtlety might be in order.

I really wish Goal Rush would be like RedZone and actually switch between matches instead of staying with one match and showing the goals of other matches.

Unless you’ve got skin in the game, the vast majority of the time, soccer is boring AF.

This feels like a uniquely bad game though. Usually when matches are this sloppy it leads to a few goals off that sloppiness, but in this one it's led to even more sloppiness with the end product. Solid contender for worst match of the season.

It’s over!

Praise the lord.

Imagine trying to pick out a highlights package for that?

Because VAR has shown time again to be incompetent.
And it wasn't a red by the letter of the law as clearly demonstrated by the panel rescinding the red.

The fact that he continues to believe that Antony is worthy of a PL match day squad place let alone giving him a run out is grounds for alone for firing.
