Interesting that we're seeing Vladar & Cooley for a second straight game. I don't know if that's good news or bad news for Wolf.

Yeah. To me that indicates they are certain on Wolf being on the team to start the year but are considering Cooley vs Vladar. I still think Vladar has the inside track based on experience and contract. Get the feeling the coaches and management think really highly of Cooley though and don’t want to lose him to waivers.

Going to the game, and that looks like a pretty decent lineup. I wanted to see Grush, but I could see those as the 6 to start the season. Solovyov as a top 4 might be a stretch, but pretty much anyone else will be a problem (other than perhaps Bean).
Edit: Forgot about Bahl as well. OK, not the top 6 starting the season and I am not sure we need to sign Barrie in that case.
Weegar/Miro
Andersson/Bahl
Bean/Grush or Sol
Pachal as the 7th.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

If the sole method for picking who goes down is based on waiver exemptions the Flames are in trouble.
AHL goalie of the year twice. AHL MVP once. How could you possibly justify sending that guy down.
I’m guessing this is the last try out game and the starters are going to play the last two on Wed and Fri

I know Cooley gives a nice interview but he’s played a grand total of 6 games with bad numbers on a bad team
You really think this is a Vladar vs Cooley thing?

I suspect Vladar will be getting the lion's share of starts to begin the season, especially against the tougher opposition as Wolf is eased in to a regular role.
