I'm sure it's nothing but how they are setting up for the pre-season games and giving different guys looks but Wolf and Zary being in the AHL group is....interesting.

Could just be a split between who's playing the next game & who isn't?

Watch the Flames start 3-1 with the only loss coming to CHI.

Great Bahl is back, I have high hopes for him.

That's a lot of guys banged up, it will make the competition for spots even more interesting.

Makes sense to keep such a bloated camp. Might as well throw in most of the AHL guys next game as well.
The team only really needs 1 dress rehearsal.

Solovyov and Hunt are the other two (in my mind) mostly likely 'still in the mix' guys that are in group B (and Duehr I guess )

Agreed.

NHL season should target their opening night for October 1st every year IMO.

The 9th is too late, and then the season pushes too late as well.

Agreed. The flames won the cup on May 25- it doesnt need to be that later early but even the first week of June is a good date for a game 7. Anything further is not hockey weather.

Group B, besides Zary and Wolf, are all most likely not making the team.
