Lipinski too or is he headed back?

I believe the Flames can assign him to the AHL if desired, or the CHL.

No highlight of Solovyov's monster hit. Disappointing. It looked like the biggest hit this preseason so far, but wanted to get a better look. Surprised it didn't make the highlight package.

If it's the one I am thinking of, the Canucks broadcast said it was interference that should have been called.

I just caught the hit but wasn't paying attention enough at the time to agree or disagree. I was hoping for a replay as well.

Way back in the day, Jumbo Joe Thornton started as a 4th-liner in Boston. Got 7 points in 55 games his rookie year, people were already calling him a bust.

I seem to recall that he worked out OK.

Slow start didn’t mean he had no ideas what to do in the case of a 4 goal game

True. I just mean that giving a young player a 4th-line role to start off isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It was a huge hit. Sherwood chirped him all night after that hit, so it definitely made an impression

It was a late hit, so yeah, it didn't go over well.

I didn't think it was a late hit, but I was focusing my attention elsewhere on the screen and just saw it from the corner of my eye sort of. From the flash that I saw - and again, I wasn't focused on it and why I really wanted to see a replay on it to see if it was late and exactly how huge of a hit it was - it looked like Sarich's famous hit in junior:

It looked like who he hit flipped in the air - not as bad as the hit in the video, but it seemed like the hardest hit I have seen in a long time from any Flame. Really wanted to see the replay on it to really see how bad it was (or if it just looked worse than it really was).

I was there and had a pretty good look at the hit.

It was the hardest hit in the game, maybe even the hardest hit of the Flames’ pre-season so far, but I wouldn’t go any further than that.

Not the kind if thing I’ll remember years later.
