My gear grinder isnt that sometime people get food delivery and pay for the convenience, it's that the convenience isnt worth the cost of crappy food driven around by the most entitled parkers/drivers on the planet, at a cost to a restaurant that actually makes it lose money in some circumstances.

You just reminded me. I was in chestermere last week and I swear I must have saw like 10 trucks with #### trudeau stickers on their tailgates and back window.
Is this normal?

Those stickers are an indicator that they borrowed too much money to buy that truck and they're trying to pin the blame on someone else.
Trudeau ruined the cost of living, says man who took out an $88,000 loan for a commuter vehicle.

The further you get out of the city the more of it you see. I go to Strathmore regularly and see so many “Freedom” and antivaxx stickers along with the F Trudeau. There are a pair of Doordashers with dumb messages all over their vehicles, including “F the RCMP”, uncensored. One has “Justin is deranged” on the hood in the ultimate example of projection.

Or... since bedroom preferences have started becoming less of a private matter to one that many others are willing to publicly share... they don't want to be outdone, so decided to publicly declare something too?
Maybe it could be a new normal.

Standing in line at AMA registries to renew my drivers license, behind a bunch of seniors yapping about renewing their vehicle registration’s. Who the F would stand here when you can auto renew? It’s called the internet people!!!

I see you haven't been in a bank lately. I try to stay away from banks as much as possible but being a will executor requires visiting the bank each time you make withdrawal or deposit to the estate account. I have to stand in long lineups watching people perform routing banking in person that could be handled online or via bank machine and a good portion of those people are elderly.

Last winter, I had no issues auto renewing for one vehicle, but the other wouldn't go through online (even though I had auto renewed with them the year before). I called in and I forget the reason, but they needed me to go in to renew in person and it should auto renew again this year.
Seriously though, how many seniors do you know are completely capable of doing things, but play the "I just don't want to mess it up". No that's code for being lazy or refusing to do it that way for some inexplicable reason.
Directly like renewing a license plate at AMA isn't even a bad one. Going to the bank and having them do bill payments and then upset at some minor variation or error by the teller is one that is the bigger royal PITA. Mail your own cheque or figure out a low limit credit card for bills. Why are you at a bank???

I can’t imagine reaching a point where my thought process becomes “I got nothin’ going on today. Maybe I’ll go stand in a line.”

Aren’t Costco hotdogs … just the Kirkland hotdogs they sell in Costco ?
And the buns they sell at Costco
Is it the hot dog cooking that’s the issue?
This is one I truely don’t understand

Make your friggin pancakes at home. You literally pour water in a powder and drip it into a pan. It's already a great food for lazy people. And if you're too lazy for that, guess what? You can pull them out of your freezer and put them in a toaster.

I just stumbled upon this as the best late night food when you have people over with the munchies. Can't believe it never occurred to me before this year, but it's better than chips, popcorn, candy...anything, really. So easy and so delicious. They don't hit as hard when you're sober.

We’re all better off if those people stay off the internet.

I want to kick those people in the back. Same reason as you. As I was finishing one estate as executor there was some overlap when I started the next estate so I was doing two at once for a bit. Estate accounts really limit what they'll let you do online, which is so GD annoying for the simplest of things. The people at my RBC literally know me by name. It's not a badge I wear with honour. I hate it there so much; the staff is great, but it's the dumb boomers who like it kibitz with the employees to draw out interactions that make it torture.

Dealing with the will stuff is fun. firebug has made it 99% easier, but he warned about computershare.
I've just given up trying to get this transferred out. Pretty much just said f this to $70k in BMO stock. Every person tells me something different and nothing can happen out of snail mail. Have gotten a couple forms to fill out that appear to have been scanned 40 times and written in 'tard. They never receive them. registered mail or not. I get so angry with every call that it is not worth it.

It’s more like “I don’t understand how to use the internet and I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake or get scammed, so better to continue banking the same way I have for the last 50 years of my life.”
Taking 15 minutes out of their day to bank-to-face is a lot less stressful and time-consuming for them than struggling with digital log-ins and transactions.

Our entire economy is based on lazy.
What? You don't want to seek out and slaughter your prey and butcher it and invent refrigeration and freeze it for future eating of your offspring.
doordash just has added the frosty tips to the ends of our hair.
Fata, I order five orders of Hy's Steakhouse cheesebread to be delivered and make some costco steaks.

I kinda get it, but sometimes, confused people, please stand to the side and let the teller deal with the next person while you spend 5-10 minutes discussing how confused you are and what you should do next.

But... this isn't a shut in issue. Costco delivers, so you could have hotdog buns and a pack of polish hotdogs/all beef hot dogs in the freezer and you could get that ready to eat in far less time than requesting it via app. Boiling water is literally the longest part of the process. A bun would warm up in like 30 seconds in a microwave.
The only extra thing you'd need are your favourite condiments in the fridge and banana peppers, chopped onions etc. if you wanted to be fancy (and I think Costco discontinued offering this).
Hell, add a can of Stag chili and some of the pre-shredded cheese/cheese whiz... with hot sauce that's a damn good chili cheese dog and even with the extra use of the microwave, it's still the water that takes the longest time.

I know people who owned businesses and did this all digitally for years prior to the current day. They waste my time or other people's time doing it the lazy way.
As much as there are some people who have this scam concern as their true reasoning, honestly speaking, anecdotally, I'd argue it's more the minority now.
