At least you've got a sense of humour about it. Its always so serious in here!

I didnt watch the match yet, but City slipping away with a draw just feels greasy.

The game was ruined by that card, such a shame for the game in general between 2 top teams and what could have been a great 2nd half.
It seems that yellow is only issued if you're in the lead, which was the same thing when we played Brighton.
Clear examples of the other team doing the same thing and getting nothing.

Proud of the effort Arsenal put in to hold on, but they did let up on that last play and gave Grealish way too much space. Stopped playing 30 seconds too soon.

Yes it should be a card, no dispute.
But needs to be called regardless of if you're winning/losing.
The refs are calling it differently to the team in the lead, which perhaps is their mandate? Who even knows now.

It will get your team too soon enough, then we can laugh back.
But overall, it's terrible for the league.

Don’t get me wrong, I spent the entire second half in a state of high anxiety while feeling a sense of injustice. Not at the sending off - but at the complete lack of consistency in the application of the rules for the same infractions, from the same ref, in the same game.

But, you have to let things go - especially when you’ve no influence over what happens. And at the end of it all, if you take it so seriously that it affects your mood, it isn’t healthy.

But I still refuse to let the Blake Coleman ‘distinct kicking motion’ go. I’m taking that anger to my grave.

Lost in the chaos of the match was Rodri getting hurt. If it's a serious injury City are gonna be in trouble without him.

This is great though. Arsenal is getting called for things like kicking the ball away because that’s the style they play. I mean here you have two guys who played 90 minutes and they didn’t even complete a pass. They lollygag, roll around and fake injuries. It’s terrible to watch, and I really don’t think I’m saying that because I’m a Spurs fan. We had to endure several seasons of this with Conte and Mourinho, and I feel like it was dreadful to watch then also. I mean the second half possession was something like 95/5 and shots were 28-3. Thinking you should be able to pull away with a win is already shocking, but to come away with a draw and blame the refs is a whole other level.

Slava, I’ve not blamed the ref for the sending off - it’s all there in the earlier posts where the stupidity of Trossard’s action was singled out.

The issue I have is that the law of the game was applied - to the letter against Arsenal.

The same cannot be said about City.

As for how the second half panned out, Arsenal put in a master class in defending a lead while shorthanded only for a greasy goal at the end. For all their possession, City had an EG of 1.04. Played differently, Arsenal likely wouldn’t have even got the point they have.

Let's not forget Michael Oliver was paid by city's owners to officiate matches in Saudi Arabia; he is literally on their payroll.
Mind bottling how that's allowable.

He also officiated City vs Arsenal last season where Kovacic had 2 clear studs up yellows (both could have been straight reds), only 1 yellow was issued.
There's enough here to wonder...

Pretty crazy to not even complete one by accident.

I don't like Arsenal but that Trossard red card was ridiculous. It was even a bang bang thing, not like he kicked the ball away or was getting in the way of the free kick being kicked long after the whistle (which happens and generally you don't even always see a yellow)

And Haaland should probably have gotten a red and the automatic suspension that would have come with it for throwing the ball at Gabriel and running over Partey (which are hilarious as somebody who doesn't like Arsenal but still).

Big loss for the cheaters, certainly, but also a loss for the game. That guy was really turning into a huge star.
