Was at the dome on the weekend and it made it a LOT faster getting in. Just remember to pay as I assume they will check every plate in the lot during the game.

And is ParkPlus just used for Flames and Hitmen games? What about other events at the Dome like concerts and such?

Went to Raw the other week with the kidlet and a buddy and it was really nice to be able to just pull in and grab a spot. They did have some pay stations set up around the lot at the time. the first one I used didn't work at all but the second one did...but didn't print a receipt.
Probably just use the app lol

Would assume all events, they don't even have the "huts" anymore.

In 2021/22, prior to what was supposed to be the start of construction on the new rink, they turned the old railyard land north of 11th Ave into a surface parking lot.
It should have enough space to replace the lots that were where the building is being built.

And just for clarity, you DON'T need the app to run park plus.

The Stampede hired ParkPlus to manage parking given the changes coming with 17th ave connecting to the Park. Stampede will still get all revenue with a fee to the city.
ParkPlus will be in place for all events except a few weeks before and after, and during the Stampede due to the nuances associated with running the event.

I think the thread title is a little misleading, as it’s the Stampede that has switched, not the Flames exactly.

Totally sidetracking this discussion, but I'm always curious why so many folks drive to games, pay for parking and fight all the traffic. I'm from out of town and went to a game a couple years ago. Parked at a park and ride and took the C-train in with my family. It was easy and convenient and gave some extra fun post-game enjoyment with all the fans on the train.

They'd need an army.
That being said, I think this is a good step, I find paying by app to considerably more convenient.

Yup, prepay money into the account - can be done on the web. setup your licence plates and phone numbers in your account.
Then, all you need to do is text "Start 1234" to start, and "End 1234" to end. No plate numbers, no payment information.
