She's in New York too, so they have plenty of opportunities to do it from one of many underground subway stations, kind of like what the Green Line should have had.

Schools are an affront to parental rights. Time for them to go.

Probably going to dismantle the school boards because the overcrowding issue isn't due to the number of schools or teachers, it's that they are wasting the money given to them.

The Catholic School Board will be given control over the public board schools, for reasons. You know what? Why don't we just skip the middle man and let God run them.

He makes some good points. I do like his passion and I know he's taken some #### from Ogden residents but he keeps trying.
He is hopping pissed though. I like the fire.

That's ok, I'm sure Smith is working on having Trudeau cover it, personally.

Ya, but think about the return on that 2.1 billion. We'll be getting...
Oh, wait, it's just another kick in the taint.

Or maybe the City should have have made the decision years ago to cut the belt line tunnel or switch to BRT instead of plunging forward just because of the sunk cost. Right now it's still another $11-$12B to finish the Green Line as originally presented in 2015.
The sunk cost fallacy is how Honolulu ended up spending over $8B on a train line that currently carries 3000 riders/day and costs over $70M/year to operate.

This is the type of project that really needs a deep dive into what happened. The way it has been canceled has been clearly political but at the time the value for the product we were getting had become questionable.
If we had a reasonable provincial representatives here there is a project that could be built that would accomplish most of the goals.

And yet, for years now the provincial government has toyed with this project, delaying it with "reviews" and then letting it continue despite the so-called "obvious" issues with it? The timing for cutting funding now is extremely suspect.

And only a month ago saying the City could 100% bank on funding.

At most the UCP can be blamed for about a 13 month delay, most delays are the result of the Green Line itself:
Green Line timeline:
Late 2015: Construction to begin in 2017/2018, opening in 2024 for the entire 40 km line (from Panorama to Seton)
May 2017: Cut back to 16th Ave - Shepard, construction to begin in 2020 and opening in 2026
June 2019: 4km core tunnel no longer feasible, new plan (with 2.5 km tunnel) developed with construction expected to begin 2021, new managing director hired
June 2020: Council approves new plan with shorter tunnels and 3 phase Stage 1 but not approved by Alberta
Sept 2020: Managing director leaves
July 2021: Alberta approves new plan with 2 phase Stage 1, new CEO for GL is hired
April 2023: Constructor is selected but requires 16 months for design
June 2024: 60% design is finished

Disagree with the plan all you want but you have to be able to at least agree that the way the Province handled this is an absolute disaster.

Really? Seems pretty clear to me.
