Richard has gotten through this period of his life by the skin of his teeth and probably need to do something safer.
But as sad as I am, because truly, the greatest ensemble of touring and car shows is ending. Yeah, I lump old Top Gear in with Grand Tour because we're not in it for the title of the show we're in it for those 3.
Honestly? There are certain people who can present certain topics just in such a way as to really speak to you while entertaining.
To me? Other than the suicide, this is like losing Anthony Bourdain all over again.
The man was just such a master of his craft and these three guys are no different. Their chemistry, their humour and their ingenuity just changed the game.
The BBC thought they could just rotate them out and move along and these 3 proved them wrong. Fairly conclusively.
As for Clarkson, Hammond and May? So long boys. And thanks for all the Fish. And the memories.

Thankfully, there's more Clarkson, more May on Amazon. I think Richard is just going to keep on with his garage and drivetribe.
An idea I had was making a new top gear with the Throttle House boys and Emelia Hartford. I think it hits all the right chords with car anthusiasts.
Ahh Throttlehouse is just fine on its own, no need.
I liked when Throttle House worked with Chris Harris but I think Top Gear should be laid to rest for good. There's no way you can recreate that chemistry.
If Clarkson wants to keep making Clarkson's Farm until the end of times, I am more than okay with that. I haven't enjoyed a show more in a long long time. Endlessly entertaining and I think he's doing a really good job highlighting the bulls**t that farmers have to deal with every year.
But I will miss the trio. They've provided years of entertainment and I eagerly await their final adventure.

Essentially this. Yes.
I'll miss the Trio, of course. Hell, they should just do the occasional 'One-Offs' from time to time just for a lark!
Clarkson's farm is good, I've enjoyed it and I do think he is actually bringing awareness to some of the lunacy surrounding farming. As I've said before, Clarkson gets frustrated often for comedic effect, but when Charlie Chuckles gets frustrated at the same thing? Thats when you know some clownshoes garbage is afoot.
You have to separate the wheat from the chaff, but overall I think Clarkson is doing some good to spotlight deficiencies in the Farming system.
And for me? I love almost everything James May does. His 'Our Man' series is great, his 'Oh Cook' series is funny...I hope May continues for a long time.
The only one who really doesnt interest me is Hammond. Dont know why really but it just seems without his two foils he kind of comes out flat.

I think May and Hammond should be guests on the Farm show.

That's interesting. I don't really want that. I like that it is it's own thing with it's own eclectic cast of characters. It seems like Clarkson can have chemistry with anyone.

Gerald is the best.
He rambles on and everyone just thinks..."What? Huh? What did he say?"

Hammond's Workshop, Our Man In... Clarkson's Farm... But it's just not the same. I think back to being a young lad in college, and torrenting everything Top Gear I could get a hold of... Religiously watching BBC Canada for whenever Top Gear was on... God this makes me feel old... But the time I've spent watching these 3 and laughing and even shedding a tear is all worth it. Godspeed to the trio.
