Lives In Fear Of Labelling
|
I got 3 tickets in the high lower bowl for about $330/ticket using the 2RINGS presale... my buddy used SURVIVOR presale and couldn't find anything under 1000.
Still not sure if I'll go, but I've got my hotel booked and seats now.

I'm going to Vancouver anyway. I'm sure there will be people selling the day of the show.
I was like 1200 in line and joined the que 15 minutes before when it finally let me so it's crazy how that many seats sold in 5 minutes. I could have got on the floor but I'm not spending 2k.

I was not near an internet connection when things went live so I completely whiffed. Definitely going to be hoping and praying on the secondary market.

I did have to log back in once I got through the que but that was a matter of maybe 10-15 seconds and shouldn't have mattered.
I tried 'SURVIVOR' after using 2RINGS but it didn't work. I figured that would be for the one in 5 minutes.

Both "Survivor" and "2Rings" presales are sold out.

They should have tickets reserved for general sale, but those will move very quickly.

There's some major complaints about ticket prices today for Survivor Series. Seats are going for well into the $1000s, and priced extremely high.
Welcome to TKO, WWE fans.

People in Vancouver should be used to getting absolutely gouged on things. Not sure why WWE should be any different, lol.

If these prices are a sign of what's to come I probably won't be going to Vegas for WrestleMania next year now. Prices were already too much so they would be even more insane.

I remember flying down to the 2019 Rumble in Phoenix, and the flight/hotel/WWE ticket was so damn good price-wise. Had a blast as well. It's amazing how much costs have increase just since then

TBH it's not TKO - it's anything sold via ticketmaster.
The whole idea of premium seating and flex seating has been a plague that has spread across all entertainment including both WWE/AEW.
Tickets are sold at a premium on day 1 and they price gouge you, and then generally tickets drop closer to the day of the event.
For Wrestlemania in Philly last year I bought tickets the week of the event and had paid about 1/2 of what the person next to me paid when they were a "Official Platnium" or whatever it's called.
AEW was no different. I got aisle seats on the floor for like $100 on the week of the event, those tickets were $300+ when they first went on sale as "Official Platnium" seats.

I did this too...but tickets were cheap because they hadn't sold much and I was able to get two floor seats for like $200 because they had a buy one get one free sale.

WrestleMania was crazy last year too - tickets in the last row of the stadium in the corners were like $300.
Then closer to the event the premium tickets started to get released as standard tickets and the prices came way down to the point were better seats were still expensive but at least justifiable and you had a good view.
But honestly for Wrestlemania you're probably looking at about $350 USD to decent seats in the best case scenario, and that's per night.
Wrestlemania is a lot of fun and I'd say to save up and go if you've never gone, but honestly you have to be very careful with seat selection because wreslting in a stadium show kind of sucks TBH. Much more suited to smaller more intimate arenas than the giant stadiums of these big shows. If you're in the 300 levels of these football stadiums you can't see a whole lot at all and Philly was especially bad for people in the corners because of it being a roofless stadium, so you need the ring cover which the pillars block 1/2 the ring.

Not mine but for any outdoor venues that have no roof you have to be careful to not sit behind light rigging., or the giant tent they have to cover the production team.

Not a defense of ticket pricing, I couldn't afford to go.
But if it sells out, then unfortunately the price is right.

The 300s is out of the question for me. It's either the field(which I know already will be too much) or lower bowl on the sides. I know it's all about the experience but I don't want to be looking at the screen the whole show.
I think I would suck it up and pay $2,000-$3000 for both shows because I'm good with only going to one WrestleMania but if it ended up being double that it would be tough to justify.
I miss the days when I paid $500 to go to SummerSlam in Toronto and sat in row 6 I think beside the ramp. It's 5k to do that for Survivor Series.

For that product, not worth it. I'd need to see Hogan slam Andre for that price, and one of them has been dead for 35 years.

I think at this point the entire board knows your position on the WWE product, no need to repeat it every day.
I'm certain you are in the minority. and TheIronMaiden is correct. The event sold out in minutes, clearly it was priced (at worst) correctly. They may have left money on the table.

The point is as long as people keep paying those prices they will stick to it and even experiment with going up. So the price for them is right.
What's needed is for fans to refuse to pay that but it won't happen because people want to go so badly.

People should support their local indies if they really like wrestling and want a fair ticket price.

You know people are not really hurting financially when they can purchase a $2000 WWE ticket….times are good!

And they saw what people were willing to pay scalpers and went "we might as well get some of that revenue"
