and that's the first round, we didn't take Esposito or Perron so I'm happy.
Good luck in Round 2-9 Flames
Cheers

Nice pick in Backlund. He has some injury concerns long-term but he has a lot of natural talent and he's a guy I wouldn't have minded seeing the Oilers select at 21. I remember watching him at the Mac's Midget Tournament a few yeas back and he was absolutely dominant.

Reminds me of Tanguay in his draft year. He fell considerably because of an injury, but that turned out well for the Avs.

Well, probably because he couldn't get out the door. What with weighing over 1 ton and all...

Are you or any other Oilers fan reading this disappointed at all that Lowe didn't trade any of their picks for any immediate help? I was expecting Lowe to do something but as the draft went on I came to the conclusion that after the first few picks this years first round picks didn't have much in value compared to other years.

Just got back from the draft. Good energy, but boring event live. Still, cool to get to go see it in person.

Pretty boring draft this year. Did any players get traded during the draft? I don't think there was any from what I can remember. Just picks for picks.
