Coleman is a perfect Vet to keep around for a rebuild. Wants to be in Calgary, has become an ambassador for the city and gives it 100% every shift. I would only move him if he asks to be moved.

He also already has his cup, has two children together and doesn't seem like a city guy. So it's a fit both ways.

Listened to Coleman's interview the morning of the golf tourney. Just gushing over Banff and how much his family enjoyed it when in from Texas and how it makes Texas look boring. Certainly sounds like a guy that is enjoying his time In Calgary.

He can team up with Conny to convince those darn American draft picks/players that Calgary is a great spot to play!

But a man of extremes.
Live on his Texas ranch during the summer but come to Canada to live for the winter.
If it were me I would be wanting to swap those seasonal temperature assignments.

If you look at his SM, him and his family are in Banff a lot.
Can't really blame him.
Calgary for the -30 winter, and Dallas for the 40 Summers

I’ve run into Coleman a few times at the Rimrock, usually during the holidays.
He definitely loves Calgary for hockey but still loves it back home in the summer.
He’ll stick it out here as long as Craig wants him to, but understands if the team pivots and see’s him as a piece to make the team better.
He’s in no rush to leave, he speaks very highly of the city and what a great city it is and how die hard the fans are. I do think most Americans prefer the Canadian school system as well for their young ones.

Yeah, American players seem to always mention our schools as one of things we have going for us. I really like him, and I think his wife is cool too- she always posts very nice things about us on social media.

Pretty sure a few pages back he said Weegar wants to stay here.
Just because we are rebuilding doesn’t mean everyone wants out.
You never know with our drafts, being on a up and coming young team they just may have a better shot at a cup here.

I think players with 3+ years are willing to give this team a shot.

Nope. In the US the decent schools are private. Players can obviously afford that but often it means a significant commute for the kid. In Calgary a kid can go to a public school near where the player lives and it’s perfectly fine. Also there’s no book banning in Canadian schools.
Plus the guns.

Plus the cost of private schools in the US. Wouldn’t be surprised some are on par with university tuition. Again, for some players, this might not be too concerning.

Though we can complain about our country all we want, there’s a list of things we have over their country- too numerous to list. Love to visit though.

Don't be so sure with all the plans the UCP have for public education in Alberta.
