Getting better with 4 ways with multiple cars pulling up at roughly the same time.
Unless there's a car that clearly pulled up first (and I allow them to go), I don't hesitate any more.
It's the road version of every one profusely apologizing and holding doors for each other. Just blaze on through and they'll yield 99% of the time.
Once the hesitation game starts, it just drags on. Being that person that doesn't hesitate makes it easier for all the other timid drivers to follow suit because you've established the order.
Worst case, someone else starts going when you do and you kind of steer around one another. That's better than the awkward standoff game every day of the week.

But no, she looks away. So I wait even more. She looks at me and waves me through. I shake my head and wave her through, you know like the law says. Meanwhile another car heading west but wanting to turn left stops at the intersection. You can see them get annoyed with me as technically I would have the right away if not for the pedestrian. After a full minute or two the pedestrian crosses. But by the time they are done a north bound vehicle approaches the intersection with no stop sign. The vehicle turning left is clearly pissed with me for not going so they pull out right in front of the north bound vehicle and bam! No serious damage but it was a tacoma with a bumper bar vs a mini. Nobody hurt but the mini was a little worse for wear. Tacoma might have been doing 25-30Kph.
Clearly the car turning left was at fault but if the pedestrian crosses when they were supposed to then I proceed through the intersection with no issues before the left turning car even approaches and nothing of consequence happens. I felt really bad for laughing at the whole thing just because of this thread yesterday. Perfect timing.
People not doing what they are supposed to be doing causes confusion, frustration and #### happens.

A flat bed truck has been idling outside my house for over 30 minutes now. It's engine is loud as #### and I can feel the vibrations from the truck idling in the house. It's not nearly cold enough to need to idle this truck like this. How long is "reasonable" before I ask this guy to turn off the truck?

This will come as a surprise to a lot of people who don’t leave the internet message boards but people go camping , haul sports equipment, have dogs and have children that do activities and need transportation !
People also build things , move heavy things , haul dirt for landscaping their yards , buy plants and flowers , and a million other things that require a vehicle bigger then a “smaller vehicle”
And EVs should be taxed more then anything as they are heavier and not contributing their fair share in taxes compared to the road damage they do (no gasoline taxes for EVs)

Well, to be fair, you can do everything in the first paragraph without a large vehicle and anything you can’t do in the second can be delivered, rented, or otherwise done by someone else.
To borrow a line I heard once: this will come as a surprise to a lot of people who don’t leave internet message boards, but some things that *require* a truck don’t actually require *you* to have a truck, it’s just easier/more convenient. That’s a totally normal thing to say. I don’t know why people always pretend large vehicles or some great need. Especially for things that don’t even require a large vehicle to begin with.

C'mon, Pepsi. Nobody did any of those thing twenty years ago when cars were more prevalent and trucks weren't so large. Jeez.
Honestly I'd have less of a problem with large vehicles if people actually drove them with the extra care and attention they require versus something smaller. It's been proven that dudes in trucks are more aggressive and the biggest offenders of DUI. Pedestrian deaths are also trending up after years of going down. It's not the vehicles fault but I really wish we could regulate these drivers so they'd have some responsibility.

Man I wonder what people did before the 90s. You know when family sizes were larger…
My hatchback can fit four people comfortably as well as hockey equipment in the back. No need for a Tahoe. There need for most people to haul more than four people plus hockey equipment is slim, even then there are bigger vehicles that aren’t crew cabs and giant SUVs
The idea that you need these vehicles because you go camping once a summer and haul some dirt during every spring is BS advertising selling you something you don’t need for more money. “Hey, you know that one time each year you need to haul a couch, why not spend 50k more for a vehicle so you don’t have to rent a van for $20 a year.
I fly once a month for work. Doesn’t mean I need to buy my own airplane.

But if you could afford your own airplane for not much more than your Car and it was just as convenient as a car you’d probably think about buying one.

Parking is already hard enough with all the monster trucks and now we’re gonna have people parking their Cessnas at the grocery store. I guess I better buy a low ride convertible so I can take a spot under the wings.

It all can be done by someone else. So why have a vehicle at all?
Convenience? Maybe it is works more efficiently to own a vehicle that is capable of doing things that you require it to do.
Nahhhh. #### it. Hire a bigger truck to have it delivered, by someone else.

I motion to the other driver as a courtesy to tell them to go. They wave back and proceed. Works everytime for me.

Back in 60's and 70's my parents owned station wagons. It was big enough to haul us 3 kids, a couple of dogs and any camping gear. Never had a need for a big truck.
