Yeah, I hear some drivers carry on without regard to what’s happening around them

Celebrated Square Root Day

And specifically for disswntowner, I'd offer unsolicited advice, feel free to ignore as it's not my place (I'm a pretty crappy poster overall, not someone to emulate lol).
Inside info is appreciated, but there's some skepticism these days as it appears we have abandoned the old ways where posters had to verify with mods who would then let the board know they verified. So you have to accept a bit of questioning, that goes for anyone that claims inside info.
But more importantly, I'd aim to emulate someone like royal9, who just casually states what he's hearing and leaves that info as a gift if you will and we're free to interpret it as we decide. You tend to present more as an authority on what's happening/happened and work hard to prove/show yourself as someone in the know, and will use that identity against others ("no you're flat out wrong because as I reported earlier this is what happened"). I'd aim to just report and leave info instead of going after people and getting upset when everything you post isn't taken as gospel in discussion.
You appear to know exact details on many trades
/rumours too, but you tend to post them well after a name/rumour is being discussed and reported on everywhere. Id suggest if you know so many details of major trades you should sometimes offer tidbits earlier online like sec/royal9. It just seems odd sometimes when you have no inside info until later on then you're suddenly able to say exactly what happened the whole way through like you were in the room. Earlier mentions of what you're hearing before it's made public would help alleviate skepticism, imo

I can't remember if I read it here on CP or on Reddit, but someone said it best with "Too many drivers seem like they have nowhere to go, and have no idea how to get there anyway"

Yeah, with increasing pedestrian fatalities on the road I understand why some pedestrians might be reluctant to play frogger with traffic.

Driving in this city would be 75% better if we simply banned all trucks.
Seriously. #### the trucks. Every Calgarian that owns a truck (that's not for business) should be forced to park it outside the city and drive a REGULAR sized vehicle into the city instead.
#### your trucks.

Great idea, I’ll sell my truck and have more than enough money for 2 Harleys with screaming eagle pipes!

These are American stats, but since the main cause is bigger cars, they likely apply to Canada as well.
