That Ottawa logo looks like what happens when a kindergartener tries to draw the Flames' logo.

I am very sure that Ottawa asked Mangiapane to design their logo...

Was Boston originally going to be the Harpoons, so they had someone design a logo for that name, but they changed the name at the last moment and kept the logo anyway?
The Sirens looks like they're already prepping for a re-location to Seattle and a partnership with the Kraken.
Ottawa's is just a Flames logo someone drew from memory.
I like Montreal's logo, but not a fan of the name.

The fact that no team was named the Minks/Mynx is just disappointing....

The names and logos all seem pretty low budget, Montreal's is the only one that looks professional in my opinion.

Some of the logos aren't bad, I like how they tried something different but all the team names sound awkward rolling off the tongue.
At first all I could see in the Ottawa logo was the Mangiapane Flames logo but now all I can see is a weird hybrid of the Flames and Cleveland Cavaliers logo.

The ottawa logo is CLEARLY a mashup of the Flames and the Cleveland cavaliers logos.

I think Sirens is the best name of the bunch by far. Nice double-entendre with a nod to NYC's soundtrack and the fact it's a women's team.
Ottawa's is closing in on some kind of copyright infringement, though the Flames probably wouldn't want to make the argument that thing could be confused with the much better Flaming C.

Maybe they're going to be announced as a Flames' affiliate / farm team...

On one hand it would be advisable for the Flames to protect their trademark ...but on the other hand, sometimes it opens up a can of worms about your own design inspiration. Not unlike when Ford went after the Calgary Stampeders about their mustang logo...but it turned out there was a college (MSU) that had been using a very similar mustang logo even before Ford did, so theoretically they could go after Ford's usage. Who knows what kinda logo borrowing or shenanigans happened in the 70s (I would be surprised if Atlanta/Calgary was the first to use a flaming letter in a logo)...it may just be best to let it be. It would probably just make lawyers rich, and give headaches to everyone else.

I had to google this for more information. I felt that the Stampeders were around much longer. Yes, they were, but they started using the logo 1 year after Ford did. Turns out that Ford had an employee who attended MSU when MSU first started using the logo. If Ford could sue the Stamps then MSU was going to make bank with Ford so Ford just walked away.

I think Ottawa is the only outright bad one. Could've been a lot worse. Though also not sure what's going on with the Sirens word there.
