I loved Taratukhin, too bad he didn't love playing in North America. He would've been a Backlund/Lehkonen type- one who plays tight defense, but chips in on the scoresheet.

Love the awareness to skate it out and use his speed to go for it instead of just dump it

Odd question for those more in the know....
Could Andrew Basha play center? He does have a strong 200 ft game and shows exceptional passing and playmaking skills.

He did it some while Lindstrom was injured last year and by all accounts he was fine. But he is not strong on faceoffs (yet?).
To my knowledge, he hasn't played pivot yet this season. Although he did have one game with 13 faceoffs taken, which is a touch high.

Likely covered in other threads, but both Andrew Basha and Cayden Lindstrom have been full participants in practices this week leading up to game 1 of the WHL Championship series that starts Friday night in Medicine Hat. TSN+ will be streaming every game of the WHL Championship series if interested.

Basha talking about playing at 60% from when he was injured last year until he got his surgery, and working on getting stronger as part of his rehab, makes me even more excited to see what he can do.

Basha turns 20 in November so I'd hope he'd be AHL bound in the fall but considering the struggles with injuries he had this year I wonder where he winds up and what the Flames expectations for him are. Is the NCAA possible for a year?

Pretty sure he signed a deal with the Flames which makes him ineligible for the NCAA

Basha at 40% looked really solid in Preseason.
Excited to see what he could become.

That's why I heard nothing about Lindstrom this year.
Rough for CBJ.

He's 20 and signed, so i believe so?
I strongly believe we're going to have 3 good to great NHL players come out of that draft class.
