No one can scream-sing like Chester though, which is basically every bridge from their first two albums. What a gift he had.
Not off the first two albums, but his screaming on full display from the song "Given Up" off the Minutes to Midnight album.
When I saw him do this part live, the first thing that came to mind was "how the hell does he does this part night in and night out". They performed that song a ton after it came out and this video is a little sampling of what I'm talking about.
Chester is a good example of how important it is to get proper vocal coaching. Obviously to many people it's just screaming, but there's definitely good and bad ways to scream.

There's a way to set your throat and vocal chords where you can make a deep scream and it doesn't feel like anything. You can find it on your own, but it would certainly be easier with coaching.

Technique is everything: Skrillex was in a screamo band and needed multiple throat surgeries before he was 20. Devin Townsend has been doing death metal vocals for 20+ years and can still do them every night of a tour while staying in key and has a pretty large range.
That might be the best Linkin Park song I've ever heard. I was never a big fan of theirs, the rap/screamo combo never clicked with me. But that is a great song, shame that the singer is in a cult
I dont mind it! Until the artist gives us reason to make it about anything else, don't know why we have to drag other irrelevant things into the music.
A lot of artists we like and revere throughout history have held unsavory views. That's nothing new. Thankfully, we're there just for the music.

I liked a bunch of Linkin Park songs back in the day. I don't fault them for wanting to re-form to get that cash cow going, and I see why they chose her because she kinda does sound like Chester-lite, but it just doesn't seem authentic.

that doesn't mean we have to keep looking the other way. Some people definitely won't care, but for others, it might be something that makes them question whether they want to ignore that, "just for the music". And that's fair.
As for the song itself, it's just okay. Absolutely hate the autotune on Shinoda's voice.
