Why? Maybe Sutter knows that no one else wants him.
This is restoring my faith in the guy. The real gems come later in the draft. We won a cup with a bunch of late rounders... remember?

[quote=Harbourmouth;919305]This is unbelievable. First we hire Keenan, pick up dead weight in Aucoin, and now trade the rights to Esposito/Petrick/Backulung for a 2nd round pick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!quote]Isn't it a third, even worse.

I can't believe we did that. I am tired of picking mediocre players that will end us 3rd and 4th liners. I really wanted to Espo here.

18th for 24th & 70th....I must say I kinda like it considering most of the kids in the first round are pretty even with skill.

This franchise is going to hell in a hand basket. GOOD LORD!
Is Kevin Lowe running this ing team?

Before you jump from the ledge, there's a good chance one of your players named will be available at 24... and we pick up an additional pick.

Agreed. I don't know why people think that Sutter should take a guy that every other team is passing on.
Sutter picked up another asset to move down 8 spots. And probably still gets his guy. That's savvy.

I'm watching this draft on one screen, and TSN on the other, and I'm finding CP more dramatic then TSN!

Calm down. Somehow, I figure your hockey knowledge doesn't compare to Sutter's.

This was so predictable wasn't it? Sutter always wants more picks, truthfully I thought St. Louis would take Espisito...but as soon as Edmonton picked I just knew we were going to trade down.
Cue the sky is falling mentality. Just gonna throw the name Oscar Mohller out there for now, cuz thats' where I think he's going with this trade.

Just wish Sutter could've gotten a 2nd instead of a 3rd for trading down...

GOAT!

It's not that bad, guys. We dropped down 6 spots but picked up a 2nd round pick.
Picking 24th and again in the 2nd round is much better than picking 18th and not picking again til the 5th round.
