You can't be taken serious when you look like that in a business meeting and in an interview, you have lost confidence. I have had positive experiences with Flair but I also know they aren't making plane payments, paying airport taxes, government taxes and have the most amount of complaints to the Air Transport Authority. They are probably burning $3 to avoid paying 50 cents in compensation.
An executive team with the above attitude maybe played a little role in their overall performance failures. Nobody can foresee spending $20 on a Costco shirt and tie set to at least try and look the part? It's not hard

Hmm. I mean, it could be that lack of a tie. But it's probably more-so that their business model has been proven over and over and over to not work in this country and their biggest investor pulled out after failing in other areas.
But sure, hoodie

Seeing him in a hoodie probably sent the investors the edge. Probably didn’t even hear what he had to say lol.

Is a VP wearing a hoodie causing an airline to suffer? I doubt the hoodie is officially to blame but looks and perception matter. They matter everywhere. Everybody wants to throw the book at the scum looking guy in the court room who's got the smug look on his face and doesn't come off as remorseful. Looking apologetic and showing respect and restraint can help in sentencing, probably why lawyers advise their clients on that.
The couple that is fighting and bringing along their loud dog to view an apartment unit probably isn't doing themselves any favors in a competitive market. Nobody wants headaches.
Looks and optics matter all around in every aspect. Nobody wants to eat at the place where the food looks awful and the place is filthy.

Not sure what weddings you are attending that’s driving you nuts.
Only new thing I’m noticing more of is less ties and #### ties. And a lot more casual shoes with suits, but that’s been the norm for a while.

I’ve been to probably 15 weddings over the past 5 years, and the only people I’ve ever seen dressed down were men between the ages of 50-60.
Gen Z always look sharp. Millenials are usually well dressed but boring.
This just seems like another chapters in the never ending “M’Lady” saga of curves’ life.
Everybody, everywhere, is somehow doing it wrong. Life just isn’t made for respectable gentlemen like him anymore.

And more importantly if you would continue to buy seats from flair if he had worn a suit and displayed confidence despite the current financial state but won’t now because of the hoody I would question the financial literacy of the person making the decision.

Agreed and that’s pretty rare as well. The worst dressed is maybe jeans with a blazer oh no.
Seems like he’s been around a lot of tragic situations. People clipping toe nails on the plane probably caught his eye with a piece.
How do you know people go to job interviews in their pajamas lol.

People don’t want to eat food that looks awful because those senses are linked, and people don’t want to eat food somewhere that looks dirty because people don’t want to eat dirty food. But people everywhere, everyday, frequent and love places that look old, run down, and ugly because the food is good. I’m surprised some as well traveled as yourself doesn’t know that.
How someone dresses has nothing to do with their job, unless their job has something to do with dressing themselves or other people (fashion, stylist, etc). And unless you find them on Grindr later, you’re not eating their ass like groceries, so you should probably find a less dumb comparison than food, which people actually eat.

The trash that just walked onto the airplane wearing tank tops, beachwear and causing a disturbance? Ya, they are the couple that is going to sit next to you, smell awful and start clipping their toenails on the plane enroute to Italy for their honeymoon.
|
I want to know what kind of trash I need to become to afford to go to Italy for my honeymoon!
Holy cow, sign me up. You're saying I just need to save on deodorant and square up on airline beachwear?!?!?

The ironic part is toenail boy probably has more money than the sexy 70 year old and her husband he was eyeing down.

If you cut down the Peter12 clothing budget to a reasonable amount you’ll afford it in no time.

Like trash would suddenly not be trash if they bought a nicer shirt.
No, they're now just trash in a nicer shirt

Wanting other people to get dressed up for a flight is one of the most moronic things I have heard.

Some of the worst people I’ve ever met in life have been the most well dressed. Some of the best people I’ve met the opposite. Occasionally some ended up wearing no clothes at all and that’s when the real judgements went down.

Oh I am sure I am everyone's least favourite Airline passenger.
If I'm parking it for 5+ hours? Sweatpants or shorts, sandals, comfy shirt.
I am not sitting with perfect posture in a suit for that long. That simply is not a thing that is happening.
Who cares? I usually have a book, headphones, music, movies...
I remember my first trip to London I sat beside this dude in a suit and he grumbles to me:
"Oh great...some kid."
Yeah, some kid who has done this before, is comfortable, brought reading material, music, headphones, etc.
This is a long flight.
Yeah. He brought nothing.
"Can I read your newspaper?"
I wanted to smack him with it.
"Bad Passenger! Bad boy!!"

I’d be tempted to toss someone from a plane in a suit on a long haul flight.

Best passenger I ever sat beside was a British Military officer.
I thought I could drink? I was an amateur and that man was a Professional!
His wife had to practically pour him off the plane. That man was a Champion!
We had a great time!

I know 2 incredibly well off families and I remember playing poker at my friends house and his very well off mother was there, in sweatpants and a Mickey Mouse sweater, after hopping out of her G wagon. Lovely lady, bought us all pizza that night.
Perfect definition of judging a book by its cover.
