I think he'll be the best D in the draft, Boumedienne looks good but he'll never skate like Schaefer.

Ryabkin, Frondell, McQueen, Misa (that's my bet.)
All are great options outside of Hagens. In fact, I might be crazy by thinking Frondell is the preferred choice.

McQueen and Misa are listed as wingers.
All in for Hagens.

Misa might project more as a winger. Hagens, Frondell, Ryabkin top Centers. It would be fantastic to get into the top 3 next year. Martone might be hard to pass on over anyone not named Hagens though.

Agree for now it’s Hagens and everyone else. Where are you seeing McQueen listed as a winger though? I’ve only seen him mentioned as a Center

I screwed up the positions for Spence and McQueen.

I really like McQueen. Still hope this is who we come out with overall. But Misa would also be cool.
Personally don't think we'll be in Hagens land yet. Maybe if we ditch Rasmus or Weegar though. Or a wolf injury.

I'm leery of US born players so I'd be happiest with Frondell / Ryabkin / McQueen as far as Cs go.

That's why we drafted his brother this summer.

Before this is over I suspect William Moore will be in the conversation as a top 5 pick.
Some other prospects not talked about who could reach the 1st round:
Adam Benak C - if he grows a little look out, he is ultra skilled
Max Bleicher D - smart great skating D from Germany, off to Owen Sound for his draft year.
Karl Annborn D - smart 2-way defenseman out of Sweden, never seems to get beat or make a mistake.
Jake O'Brien C - Love this kid, very skilled high IQ playmaker, if he fills out his frame he could go top 15-20

frondell is injured. Timeline is indefinite at this time. He was last injured in February and missed the rest of the 2023/2024 season. If he misses significant time, will probably drop in the rankings.

Is a player that keeps getting injured a red flag or do we not worry at this point in their career?

Usually not a worry, but it depends on the type of injury. Also, at some point, you miss too much development time, and that tales a toll as well.

Excited for this upcoming season! With the new arena being built, I have no doubt that Flames can go out and draft US based players as well now.
As any new ELC now would expire a year into the new building being open. This is a total game changer.

Is there a list of players beyond top ten that I don't have to buy a subscription too?
