Aiuyk finally reaches a deal to stay in San Francisco

https://www.tsn.ca/nfl/report-san-fr...nsion-19.82852

I'll never understand why it always takes right before the season to reach many of these deals. Are the players just wanting to avoid training camp? Why couldn't they reach this deal months ago.

49ers have a limited window and couldn't afford to not have Aiuyk on the roster.

Especially considering their 1st rd pick (a WR) was shot in the chest during a robbery attempt yesterday. Bullet went right through him and missed all major organs...thankfully.

So curious to what folks think their clubs records will be this year?

Im guessing (hoping?) GB goes 10-7 and a WC spot as i see the Lions winning the division easily.

I'm hoping the Pats go undefeated this year and win the Super Bowl, but will be happy if they win 4 games!!

I've been spoiled with the success of the Chiefs the past few sessons. I am at a point where I expect they'll win the Division, but really it's the post season that counts most. So if they go 10-7 or 11-6 I still think they win the Division, and 11-6 should still earn the third seed at worst. I'll be more interested to see if their defence can play close to last year. As bad as the offence was, I thought the mistakes seemed fixable and they could go on a run if the defence kept it up.

I'm interested to see how the other AFC Divisions play out as all 4 North teams could be playoff teams and I think the Colts, Texans, or Jags could win the South. The Bill's have claimed the East recently and many think they've regressed, with the Dolphins and Jets there to challenge them. The Patriots and Titans are the only 2 teams I'll cancel out today for the playoffs. I'll give the Broncos 2 weeks of look and see before I calk them done.

Are there any prop bets on how many plays Rodgers will have this season?

The Eagles and Packers have been told not to bring family. Also don’t leave the hotel room.

They should hold a Super Bowl in Brazil next.

I've been to Sao Paulo, there's nothing to see there. If you're really well off the night life in the fancy clubs where the nice hotels are is supposedly really good. But other than that nothing to see.

They host a F1 Race there every year, they can handle a NFL game.

It's hilarious that the NFL didn't do any fact checking that the color green has a soft ban in that stadium for soccer games (Palmeiras is the stadiums home team Corinthians hated rival that wears green) while putting two green teams in there.

Eagles as home team are going thus go black helmet (an exemption from the league, since they will also have their Kelly green helmet and usual helmet this year), white jersey and black pants (so only dark green numbers) to mimic the local soccer team Corinthians who are black and white.

Green Bay will be home green and yellow, the colors of the despised rival.

Anyways, as to the Seahawks. Meh. Geno will be better, the defense will be better under the new defensive coach, but will it be good enough in the NFC? New coach bump but the new coach also hasn't really got his guys there, nor, as a first time coach does he know everything he will have to deal with. So, another average season on the whole.

How the run game goes will make it break it, for the team IMO.

9-8, maybe 10-7.

Has there been any incidents since the one in 17? There's 20 teams and in some cases 75 people per team travelling, so with that many people it's around 1500 people plus media. NFL will be about 180 per team, likely scaled back a bit. So more people and a known established route will make them an easier target. We'll see if NFL has tougher security and if the team personell adhere to these recommendations.

You know he's going to tear his other achilles in the first game.

Tom Brady is doing Boys vs Browns. $375M contract.

Kelce brothers paid $100M for podcast rights.

Forgot to add my predictions so I can make fun of them in 4 months:

Bills
Jets (dark horse prediction)
Dolphins
Patriots

Bengals (if Joe stays healthy)
Ravens
Steelers
Browns (all 4 will be competitive)

Chiefs
Chargers
Broncos
Raiders

Texans
Jaguars
Colts
Titans

Cowboys
Eagles
Commanders
Giants

Lions
Packers
Bears
Vikings

Niners
Seahawks
Rams
Cardinals

Falcons (they've gone all-in to take our crap div)
Saints
Bucs
Panthers

My own team gonna be the usual mid 9-8 to 8-9, D gonna carry em as usual. Excited to see the new offence with Kubiak, and decent at skill positions...but 0 depth, any injuries and it'll get messy. And OL (especially RT, Penning is a bum) will probably derail the season. Plus the Dome fans are dying to turn on Carr, I can see it getting toxic this year. Wouldn't even surprise me if he gets booed week 1 at home if they have a sluggish start.

My main excitement is watching more ridiculous Olave 1 handed catches. And in this division, ya never know..

You picked the Raiders to finish last in the AFC West which is a mistake. Every year the pundits predict them to finish last and every year they don't (only once in the last decade they have finished 4th which is telling of how bad the Broncos and Chargers have been). I don't expect them to make the playoffs but they should be in the 8-9 win range.

Raiders should have that top 10 defence you've been dying for this year. Pierce got them motivated to play hard last year, and I think he did a good job surrounding himself with experienced coaches after he got the job. Minshew is an upgrade on what they had. But he's always kind of been a lucky guy that can do the job for like 12 games but not a full season guy

The Chargers are kind of paying for past transgressions capwise this year but should have the best coach they've had since Schottenheimer. I think homeschool Herbert is over rated...but he's still good. Harbaugh took over a dysfunctional team that had bust Alex Smith and had them in the NFC Championship in year 1. Herbert is way better than Alex Smith ever was. So he is the best QB Harbaugh has had.

So I don't know which one of them will be second and which one will be third. Of course if some injuries happen one of them could find themselves winning the Division too. If the Chiefs have to start Carson Wentz for 13 games...9 wins might be enough.
