Default Dublin for a Day

I'll be in Dublin for 26 hours end of September, looking for suggestions inside the city easy accessible by transit. I'm leaning towards Dublinia but don't have much else in mind. I like museums and specifically medieval history stuff. Thanks for any suggestions on food (cheaper but good) and any neat places that aren't a big time sink

Temple Bar, hit the pubs, Guinness brewery tour if you're still standing (or vice versa).

I enjoyed visiting Trinity College and seeing the Book of Kells.

I loved the Guiness tour, Temple Bar, Trinity College, and the Kilmainham Gaol.

Chase a Leprechaun and abscond with his Pot of Gold?

The tour is really cool even if you don't drink. It talks about the history and the source of water which makes it what it is.

Agreed, I don’t drink, dragged a two year old through it and it was still worth it. The views with the free drink at the bar at the top are an awesome part of it.

Which tour? There's a handful of "experiences " at various prices, what do you guys recommend?

I'll be there for work at the end of the month, would like to check it out.

I did the tour and “pour your own” it’s a self directed tour and you get 2 pints out of it. Pretty good.

If you play your cards right, you can get 2.5-3 pints out of it

But then the exit is through the gift shop lol

Socks, wall hangings, oven mitts… so much stuff you don’t need … or do you?

Well played, Sir Arthur Guinness. Well played

Kind of annoying you can’t enjoy more than one pint in the roof top bar there. Was a nice spot.

So...you don't drink but you're going to Ireland?

I dunno. Try the potatoes?
