Crossing all my crossables that this is not true. Whether or not it is, I'm just really glad I got the chance to see him play at the Dome a couple of times - it's an entirely different thing to watch live, than on the TV.

I would contend against the phrase "the people deserve to know."
'Deserve' is, in my opinion a strong term.
The people will know, he's a public figure. But in due time and course.
In the meantime 'the people' dont deserve jack all.
You know who deserves time and sympathy? The family.

Anyone can say anything on the internet. Unfortunately the silence from anyone credible is deafening.

If it turns out to be not true. Then may whatever god that watches over us all take note of those who took this too far.
If it turns out to be true, use some tact. Yes, there's ppl all over wanting some verification but allow the process to mete itself out in its own due course.
I'm ashamed myself for following this like I am, knowing there's a very very good family grieving at a time when they're preparing for a joyous celebration which will be cancelled.
It's a sad day all around. Whether the rumor is true or not, this is a sad reminder that life is fleeting.

Oh I know. No indictment against you. Its just that sometimes people feel that they 'deserve' things that they have no right to.
We'll be told when we're told. At the appropriate moment. In the meantime there are people who actually do 'deserve' things like clarity and privacy and (hopefully not) mourning time.
Until then? We the public deserve nothing.
