I edited my last post because I thought I was being mean but now I'll repeat it...

Cam, respectfully... go #### yourself for the time being while all this is figured out.

You're stupid debate can wait for another time.

In this setting and with this somber mood, can you just not? No ability to read the room and keep it to yourself for the right time?

Yes, all of those factors increase the number of accidents. You need a car to get around cities like Calgary, though, and even mine (Sydney) which has, I would say, better than average public transport.

This isn't 19th century Vienna. You don't need to ride your bike.

Ah man. Feel sick about this, I want to believe it is BS…you would expect some kind of statement from the family, team, agent. They know this is out there by now.

In this thread, let’s simply not respond to those seeking attention

"One car saw 2 bicyclists on Rd. Car moved into opposite lane, car in rear attempted to pass and hit cyclist"
The zip code is not NJ and the address 123 Penns Grove Auburn Rd isn’t where Johnny lives. Just some loser stirring the pot. Like cam.

You absolutely do not need a car to get around Calgary. I lived in Calgary's Beltline neighbourhood (and worked downtown) for 20 years without a car. It's a choice people make to live in Yopgobblerville and then complain that there are no amenities within walking/cycling distance of their home and transit isn't convenient in their low-density community so they therefore "need" a car.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Pennsville Auburn Road near Stumpy Lane in Oldmans Township

I don't know where Johnny lives but people on social media are saying this is the area where he grew up or his family has roots.

I was hit by a car while cycling to work by Eau Claire awhile back. The lady got out of her SUV and said that I had "scared her" and she "didn't see me". She then got back in her car and drove away from the scene. I ended up in hospital with a broken tibia/fibula, broken tooth, and fractured elbow. Wheelchair for a few months and took a break from CP. Came back after hearing the tragic rumors to see the thread getting de-railed into an anti-cyclist rant and reminds me why I left for awhile.

In any case, whether it turns out to be Johnny Gaudreau or not, two people have lost their lives in a tragic accident that was likely preventable.

I hate for anyone to be breaking such news, but we know the site insiders, just wondering if anyone's denied anything? The silence is sad.
