Not sure about rehab, but there is some thought that rushing him back to maybe be available to play in the WCF was a mistake.

Probably...but I also sort of get it. The Canucks were 'all in' last season and losing Demko was a harsh blow and they decided to gamble.

Goalies are harder. If they're not 100% its more difficult for them to 'gut through it' than another player.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

By all accounts, it was Demko pushing to come back more so than the team pushing him. He was on the ice and skating, so the thought is he was close... and then this.

Not good news for Canucks. According to Friedman on the 32 Thoughts podcast, regarding Demko and his injury, he's going to have to learn to play with this. It's not something that can be fixed with surgery. It's something he's going to have to learn to play through and he can play through to a high level.

Friedman also believes that the Canucks essentially rushed Demko back from his injury to play the last 2 games to determine if he was good enough for the playoffs. I actually think that this is something the Canucks absolutely needed to do, and don't think it's the wrong move.

Friedman is speculating there in regards to a permanent injury. He doesn't actually know and cites it as such.
