When washing your hands, water temperature doesn’t matter. You don’t benefit hygienically washing you hands in warm water as opposed to cold. It’s the soap that is more important.

Looooooooooooooch

I have my faucet valve hooked up to the light switch so any time the bathroom light is on, the water is running full blast until you flick the switch.
Because of these restrictions, I've resorted to ####ting in the dark and not knowing exactly when the wipe is clean.

Doesnt the heat of the water activate the soap? Thats why dishes are washed in hot water, same as hands, etc.

Don’t think so. Like washing clothes in cold water.

That leaves you with soapy taps, depending on the design.

Cold is equally effective. Use the temperature you find comfortable

Some people are really ungrateful.

Same thing happened to me. Went to donate blood expecting them to be happy. Instead they got all pissy, "where did you get that blood?" "Why is it in a bucket?"
You can't make some people happy.

Warm water is used for sanitization. You don't wash your dishes in cold water.

Hot water is used for sanitization. The temperature required for sanitization is around 75c.

Soap is used for sanitization, not water. Warm water works better than cold for removing grease and food bits but does nothing for sanitization.
...this thread has taken an interesting turn.

Meant to say hot.
Those health inspectors come and check your sink and stuff in restaurants. That's why the dishwasher is steaming.

Yes but you're not washing your hands in water at that temperature (i hope). That's why you use soap after you go #1 and #2 (i hope).

I take a shower after going 1 or 2. Not more than 3 minutes though.

Isn’t removing grease and oils from your hands one of the purposes of washing them? Even a small smear of mayonnaise or chicken fat on your hands can be health hazard.
