Two point per game centres, 40 goal scorer, norris winning defencemen, runner up for vezina, solid role players in bottom six, we can hate them all we want but Alvin has turned that team around by adding a supporting cast and a coach that plays a structured game.

Personally wasnt surprised, great core, elite goalie, Hughes, just need to tinker the depth a bit and get a coach. They did that, i didnt expect them to be that good but it was just a matter of time IMO.

Reminds me of the Flames after the 14-15 season.

The reason they ended the rebuild early and acquired guys like Hamonic and Brouwer.

Lot of similarities between the 21/22 Flames and last years canucks, new coach - hired the previous year midway and then first full season
- missed playoffs the previous season and underachieved the previous few seasons
- lost to Edmonton in the 2nd round
- hard fought low scoring first round series vs a lower seed
- both won the division
- both had Lindholm and Zadorov lol

So implosion Vancouver?

Their number #1 centre is dogcrap in the playoffs though.

Also calling Boeser a 40 goal scorer is a bit of a stretch since he's done it once and never scored more than 29 goals in any other season.

Like, should we be referring to Blake Coleman as a 30 goal scorer, or is he a pretty good player who scored 30 once?

So, starting goalie Kevin Lankinen incoming? Oof.

Seriously if they're without Demko & Silovs? What do they do?

Right now, the team can't over-react. Both of these injuries have a hard to predict timetable. They could both be ready for puck drop. They could both be out till November.

Step one is sign a goalie to a PTO. It gives you flexibility to drop the goalie if one or both goalies look like they're going to be good to go for the regular season. Whether that's Lankinen or someone else is something I don't know.

Are you sure you're a Canucks fan? You're way too levelheaded.

Are you insinuating that the Canucks wanted to send Demko to Rehab but he said, No, No, No??!?
