I don't look it as "relevance". They are just a classic band doing some reunion shows, not trying to be world sweepers again. Of course they haven't been relevant in years, they're a 90's rock band.

I wouldn't call any band from their era particularly "relevant" anymore. Maybe Rage Against The Machine and hip-hop overall. They were never really much of a commentary on anything, and most of their music is actually pretty positive by contrast to the Grunge scene from the time.

Just seeing the name Oasis on the screen grinds my gears. Worst band in history.

Wait...Oasis was still together all the way to 2009? I thought they broke up closer to Y2K...

Not sure what "relevance" they need, there's not a lot of rock bands left that can pull this level of attention for a tour anymore. Good to see them bury the hatchet at least for a little while.

Won't be surprised if they split again after a show or two, but interested to see how they sound together again. Thought Liam sounded great when he performed at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert. I'm guessing the chances of them extending the tour to North America is around 0% but that would be pretty awesome. Money talks, so you never know.

Just the brothers ? Or the original band from the mid 90's ?

I still play Maine Road Night 2 on Youtube every once in a while to fill a few hours with music.

Yeah, I don't think there's a lot of "trying" going on from their end.

They just dropped some tour dates and the buzz created itself.

Lol, you'd put Oasis on a top five list?

Edit: On second thought, I would. Top five worst bands of all time.

They put out an album Dig Out Your Soul went kinda under the radar and then did a tour and broke up again shortly after. (Good album though).

I saw them in Calgary, show was okay. They've never really been an entertaining stage band. But the attitude of "we're here and f*** you for coming" is sort of what you go for. Now with some money in my jeans I'd love to go see them in Wembley or Manchester.

I love Oasis simple for the fact that they #### talked every other band around, no one else has the balls to do that.

They do have a knack for giving a lot of famous bands the "who?" treatment, which is funny.

They should tour with older bands form their era because I think they'd quickly offend any newer artists.

They should pair up on a tour with Blur.

Going to try for tickets but I expect a Ticketmaster disaster

Croke Park ideally. UK and Ireland are going to be insane when this actually happens

Can't say I was ever anything other than an Oasis casual, but "Live Forever" is definitely one of the best songs ever.
