If you think Oct 8th was the starting point in this conflict then you might want to read up on the history of Israel bombing lebanon.

You claimed that Lebanon had the right to defend itself. So I am asking you to select when you believe that the defensive war by Lebanon started.
The most recent rounds of bombing back and forth certainly were triggered by Oct 7th as attacks from about 2020 onward had become quite infrequent. But anyway you made a claim of international law backing Lebanon right to defend itself. I’m asking you to back up that claim on why and when the conflict started and why you believe Lebanon is defending itself rather than attacking Israel. You appear to be avoiding the question.
But more importantly you should quit rationalizing the death of civilians.
The rocket strikes by Israeli and Lebanon today serve no purpose.

I already answered that question so why are you pretending I'm avoiding it. Israel bombed Lebanon routinely even before Oct 7th. If you don't know the history then that's on you. I'm not here to show you who started what. We know israel is an apartheid state who is currently commiting genocide.
You're also wrong when you say hezbollah is using unguided missiles. If you've been paying attention they've been using mostly drones and guided missiles aimed at military positions. They have a better ratio of killing soldiers to civilians than Israel does.
If you think someone saying a country has a right to self defence is rationalizing civilian deaths then you should really question your reading comprehension.

You’re the one justifying missle strikes claiming self defense as opposed to calling for descalation.
Yes Israel and Lebanon have been exchanging rocket fire for decades. I’m asking you to point to when you see the defensive position of Lebanon established. You have not done that in any post. If I am incorrect please quote the post you are referring to. Neither Israel or Lebanon have justification for this escalation. It’s just results in dead people.

Do another.

I get it, you don't want to actually say what you believe is justification for Hama's actions, you're ashamed of your own beliefs or you want to keep up the charade that you care about anything other then the destruction of Israel. You and Trump would get along well, you play the same game. Kamala luckily is not interested in the blather of the uneducated trash that supports Hama. Rough time for your position xD

More lies by the Israeli media propaganda machine. So much that this poor woman had to release a statement to say the truth because Israel was lying and saying she was beaten by Hamas and had her hair cut off when in fact she was injured by an israeli bomb while in captivity.
They know no bounds with their lies.
|
Yikes, that's pretty evil and deceptive by Israel. Good for Argamani to make the official correction, despte it likely hurting her at some point in Israel.

Oh yes yikes totally evil on the part of Israel. I’m sure her stay with Hamas was filled with Netflix, trips to the beach and Skip the Dishes. I suspect she’s ok with the lengths the IDF went to rescue her.

Is the cutting off of hair a mortal offence?
I have to admit, I'm starting to get lost with the whole "poor innocent Hezbollah and Iran Dictatorship" narrative. Can some of the more prose happy posters jump in and let us know why Lebanon and Iran are righteous. Especially with the suppression of revolution in Iran, Israel would just have to avoid hitting any prisons, with an attack. If it came to that, which it won't. Iran will use Lebanon as a proxy, like always.

Well, nobody suggested her stay was "filled with Netflix, trip to the beach and Skip the Dishes". The point is, it doesn't help their image when one of the prisoners feels the need to come out and correct them for the record, laying out how they lied. Why lie in the first place? So dumb.

I wouldn’t honestly be surprised if anyone even accidentally thought you “got” anything.
If I’m keeping track, in your mind, I’m: A Hamas supporter who believes Hamas is bad, who is ashamed of my own beliefs but speaks them openly, while wanting Israel destroyed despite criticizing you for trashing Israeli civilians (specifically hostages and the LGBTQ community).
That’s fun to try and follow. I bet you love a good conspiracy theory. Do another for me.
Speaking of Trump, weren’t you the guy who mocked “natives” and “israelites” for taking issue with Trump supporters?
Haha.

Amazing how defensive he gets. The story reports a former hostage going on the record and refusing to be manipulated and misrepresented as a propaganda pawn and instead of applauding her honesty Manhattanboy is triggered to the point of feeling the need to deflect away from the initial lie.

I was responding to a comment about how “evil” Israel had acted in not accurately characterizing her remarks, while the whole point of her story was the evilness demonstrated by Hamas and how terrified she was. But I get it. Take every unfortunate event arising out of this very sad conflict and attribute responsibility to Israel, the country you hate with every fabric of your being.

Attaboy. You managed to get a victim bit thrown in there with an antisemitic accusation all in the one post.
But what would you expect from someone that supports the notion that the Holocaust can be used to excuse and defend the genocide.
And no. The main gist of the story is her meeting the Japanese foreign minister at a G7 summit to try and secure help releasing the rest of the hostages and her putting the record straight as opposed to be used as a propaganda piece.

I think you have me mixed up with someone else. I am not playing victim and have never used the Holocaust as an excuse. I might have said that Israel was created out of the ashes of the Holocaust.
And if you took that as an accusation of antisemitism I did not mean that. Others on here have suggested you can hate Israel without being antisemitic. But you do have serious contempt for the current government of Israel and its policies bordering on hate. Fine. Maybe you cheer when Hezbollah and Iran fire missiles at Israel. Maybe you don’t. I don’t know.

That’s a weird and pretty gross thing to accuse someone of “maybe” being guilty of offhand.

Have you guys called for Hezbollah to stop firing missiles at northern Israel and allow 100,000 Israelis of all religions and ethnicities to go home and return to work and school?

Maybe you should get on the line with Netanyahu. He apparently doesn’t seem to care either:
Quote:
According to Walla, the protesters were galvanized into action over reports that Netanyahu responded dismissively to concerns that northerners could still be displaced once the school year begins on September 1.
“So what if they return to their homes a few months after September,” Hebrew media quoted him as telling a recent cabinet meeting.
…
“On January 23, Netanyahu was with us in a meeting and promised that within ten days a plan for the north would be passed, including a budget of 3.5 billion shekels,” Davidovich told Ynet. “Five months have passed and no budget has been transferred. They are playing with us. The businesses in the north have collapsed, the displaced residents are helpless, and there is no response from Jerusalem.”

That was from May. Can’t imagine it’s gotten a whole lot better for them.
But I don’t know, maybe you were too busy cheering on civilians deaths to talk to the right people, or maybe you weren’t. I just don’t know
