We could do a lot worse. He’s always stellar at the Olympics too.

I'd be happy with Mark Lee. Make it so!

So I sort of just skimmed this thread but didn't see the answer anywhere; are we booing Rick Ball when Chicago comes to town or not?

Yes, but sadly the folks in the building won't get to hear Kelly Hrudey apologize for it and go on for the remainder of the game about what a true gentleman Ball is. Though this time it'd be warranted.

In keeping with tradition, you give him a standing ovation during the TV timeout video package, but you boo him whenever he touches the puck.

Still sad to see Rick leave, but Mark Lee would be a fantastic hire.

We're a week away from September. Has anyone heard anything about who's going to be doing the commentary yet?

Read something on twitter about how they interviewed some ppl and they came up with one but that person took another job elsewhere. Seems they're still hunting.

I just hope that Greg Millen is doing colour. Hrudey or Miller please. Will be interesting to see who ends up getting the play-by-play, but I really like Millen.

Lee and Millen would be a throwback to old HNIC days (in a good way). I wonder if the Flames have any say in the matter or if it's all up to Sportsnet.

With it being Sportsnet, the Oilers probably have more say than the Flames.

Hrudey wants to either do colour, or HNIC, but not both (too much travel doing both). My guess is that he stays with the HNIC gig and drops the colour.

I thought I had read sometime this summer that Hrudey already decided to drop the color to focus on the weekend HNIC panel.

I just want new voices.

Could be - I haven't seen that, but I do know that was his intent (to choose one or the other)
