Elon Musk takes it, and he seems to be doing well.
He was injected with a copious amount of it.
It's sad. He has his struggles like a lot of people do, but they make it seem like a junkie went out with a needle in his arm when its people that you put your trust in that did him wrong.
People treat addiction as a joke, mostly because of losers like Musk.

This is not a shot at you.
I dont know Musk or Perry's circumstances, but I think thats sort of the ethos of this thread.
There are Doctors out there giving people medications without really caring about the end result.
Thats the problem.
Maybe Ketamine is all well and good under proper doses and supervision, but is that what Perry got? And I'm not absolving him of guilt either, we should always be cognizant that a client with money or a mid-level star can aggressively make physicians do things they otherwise wouldn't.
I have no evidence of that, but its not outside the realm of possibility.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

I was mostly taking a shot at Musk.
But ya, addiction means you don't really have agency over it, which I think a lot of people tend to forget when they are tossing blame around.

I don't know a lot about it. I know they do have a clinic here in Calgary, and its provided under strict supervision.
This looks like people trying to make as much as they could.
He likely went into a K-hole and drowned. He would have been completely dissociated from reality.
Okay. I asked a client of mine who is a Large Animal Veterinarian and his opinion was that Perry would have been conscious but incapable of controlling his body.
Ie. He knew he was drowning but couldn't do anything about it.
Which...sounds like the most awful way to go down.
But I dont know which is true, so I think I should just maintain my current policy of never taking Ketamine.
Its worked so far.

Yeah that’s not how it works. If he had lost control of his body, even if he was conscious, he would likely be so far gone he wouldn’t likely even comprehend that he was drowning.

There’s a whole ton of stuff done wrong by the doctors here, but how does someone get prescribed Ketamine? In vet med it makes sense, but we have way better and more appropriate drugs for people. Having been on the unsuspecting end of taking Ketamine once it was ####in awful. I can’t imagine any use for it that isn’t recreational.
You can get Ketamine by mail in certain states here, so not the most controlled substance out there. I have some in my fridge and a refill is just a text away. Shipped direct from a pharmacy.

lol I’ve been lurking on and off. About 12 years ago went through a brain tumor scare, while sorting all that out decided to take a ‘last’ trip (or that’s what I thought) with a buddy and ended up sitting beside a beautiful girl one night who, of all things at the time, worked for a brain tumor foundation in the US. She turned into my wife a couple years later and we have just been busy building a life. Living in the US now and own a few cannabis businesses (I’m sure people will not be shocked by this ). After that scare I just repriorized things and the hiring of Treliving made it easy to take some obsession time off from the Flames too. I hope you’re doing well!

I don't think it's any less tragic when a junky loses their life no matter who was operating the needle. The guy on the street with the needle in his arm and Perry were both addicts, struggling until they lost their lives to it.

Now I wanna know what combustablefuel attempted to post after midnight, then came back 12 hours later to edit, then started a new post and bailed on that one too.
It's been quite a journey with whatever he was trying to do, lol.

It was just some first hand accounts on S.W.I.M on how Ketamine works and that a professional vet can't tell the difference between a anesthesia and a paralytic drug. But it might have been in a much more rude and mocking post than needed to be. The second post was because I thought I was editing the first post and not creating a new one.also might have given away to much experience stories about S.W.I.M.
