If Muslims decided to all gather in one part of France and declare it a Caliphate, and chase out all the non-Muslim French, that'd be a totally acceptable thing the French should just leave be? Or would you understand how that could be something they'd fight back for?

Oh please. Literally every nation state that has ever been formed used to be someone else’s land at one point, and someone likely laid claim to it originally. Like I said, there’s no point in even debating who the land originally belonged to in this case, because no such claim can be made and there have been Arabs and Jews living on it for as long as time. You can’t just pick an arbitrary point in time to start the argument, so it’s pointless. Israel was formed and whether certain people were wronged in the process sucks, but such is life and it was almost 80 years ago.

Like I said, at some point the Palestinian leadership (true leaders who value the lives and interests of their people), need to say enough is enough, realize they are not going to get exactly what they want, and negotiate from a position of weakness. It’s not ideal, and unfortunately most Palestinians born in Gaza lost the lottery of where they were born (like many in or 3rd world countries), but they need to have the self awareness to end this cycle of decades long violence and say enough is enough. Again, I’m not discounting Israel’s own policies and they’re not innocent either, but it irks me when Israel gets all the blame and there’s no inward ability by Palestinians to assess why their own misery continues through this cycle of war.

You did bring up things that happened in 1948 and 1967, so I’m not sure why something being 80 years ago is suddenly off limits.

I don’t think blaming Palestinians for the nakba and mocking it does you any favours. Nor do I think “continual acts of aggressions and then crying poor after the fact” is something you would respond well to if that was used to describe the aftermath of Israeli acts of aggression.

Probably because they’re the ones committing genocide. Tends to be how that works.

Your attitude around an explanation for why people might not be too happy about it is telling. "Oh please". If you are wondering why they keep attacking, well "such is life," I guess? That's all pretty pathetic on your part. Recognizing past wrongs is key to reconciliation, so if your attitude is "get over it," well don't be surprised if some do not. This should be pretty obvious.

You make some good points. But nothing good enough to justify Oct 7th.

Nothing can justify Oct 7th, but it's foolish to not examine the historical and current reasons why human nature might lead others to do it. Ignoring that, and proceeding with force alone is a recipe for repetition.

Absolutely. That’s why understand why Israel reacted so harshly to Oct 7th. I don’t agree with how they have reacted, but I understand it.

I understand that it is cruel and inhuman, reactionary, inflammatory and unnecessary. It won't make Israel safer, and only seems to serve as revenge and retribution. Those aren't good enough reasons. An eye for an eye...

You understand why they're committing genocide?

Enlighten us.

What do you mean by an eye for an eye? Israel should have attacked Hamas because of Oct 7?

The 3 dots are doing a lot of heavy lifting there. You know the rest of the sentence, right? That was my point. Israel doesn't seem to.

Doctorfever was confused why people were upset over the IDF raping Palestinian prisoners so you’re probably reaching if you think he knows how that phrase ends.

How does Hezbollah with cheap drones continue to target israeli soldiers and Israel has to drop a 2000 dumb bomb to kill a Hamas member?

I don't understand why in your words they "reacted so harshly" which includes amongst other things the deliberate sniping of children and starving a whole population to death.

Enlighten us.

Your comments are the only disgusting ones about rape. You're not funny and rape isn't something to make light of.

What a warped mind DrStarvey has.

Joking around, trivializing and weaponizing rape.
Stating that he is happy that there is no starvation in Gaza.
And now that he understands why Israel is committing Genocide.

Bagor isn’t part of the IDF, but it’s disturbing to know you think they should have full reign to rape prisoners.

Calling comments condemning the rape of those prisoners “disgusting” is pretty low, even for your typical nonsense.
