The more I look at it they likely will. Broberg and Holloway add up to $6.85MM, currently $1.95MM in cap space. They move Kane to LTIR @ $5.125MM and they are compliant with a full roster.

At that, Emberson might give him a run for his money. Waiver-wire acquisition who only got into 30 games for the worst team by far in the league, and pretty much played 3rd-pairing minutes in those games.

Well they aren’t winning anything with a 2nd pairing of Nurse and Stecher and a 3rd pairing of Kulak and Brown.

The more I think about it, the more I think that they don’t match either player. Someone has to be figuring out what they can get for the combined contracts, especially if Kane won’t play the LTIR game. Are the 2 players for 2 years the best use of that money?

I thought the rumour was that Bowman as AGM of the Hawks was supposed to take care of the qualifying offers and he messed it up. Then Tallon took the blame.
