I have often wondered what “American Christians” believe. It almost feels like a lot of people (in power) take their beliefs and ascribe to Christianity, regardless of if it is what Jesus did or say
Evangelicals in the US believe the same garbage that Evangelicals in Canada believe. Stupidity knows no borders when it comes to Evangelicals. The same tropes I hear from these nutbars are the same ones I hear in Canada when I visit my born-again brother and his nutty friends in BC. Makes me feel sad how religion can have such a powerful grasp over you and your thought processes.
I've been to churches where the scripture saying women shouldn't speak in church is strictly adhered to. Women and men sat on different sides of the church, and women all had their heads covered. In Canada.
There's no such thing as the "Christian" position, because Christianity is comprised of tens of thousands of different groups each with their own interpretation. Scripture and doctrine are constantly reinterpreted over time to move with the mores of society so as to not get TOO irrelevant or ostracized.
Saying that one Christian's position isn't Christian while another's is really doesn't mean much since scripture can and has been so widely interpreted.. it's more accurate to say one Christian's position more closely aligns with society's general moral views.
There's no way to measure how "Christian" a view is, you can only argue it based on one's interpretation of the various methods of establishing doctrine.

Yup...just like strip club rules, they all take it off, but some places are only tops, others you can't sell alcohol, and in some you can throw a roll of coins one by one for a key chain.

Posting AI generated images of a fake endorsement from Taylor Swift seems like political suicide. I mean, if there's one current celebrity you really want to avoid getting involved...

The Mormons frigging teleported Jesus to the US to string it all together. It's absolutely religion as a tool to further an overarching ideology rather than as a source of ideology itself.

It's like the Eye of Sauron or something.
Reading that she has a team of lawyers on this. She’s one celebrity you shouldn’t tangle with.

The Republicans seem to have some weird obsession with jizz right now. This whole thing came up because Tim Walz shared that he and his wife struggled to get pregnant at the time and resorted to using IVF to have kids. This highlighted his personal struggle and cemented Tim Walz's position of the need to protect reproductive choice. Republicans meanwhile started carrying around sperm donation containers, some with white liquid in them with JD Vances face plaster all over the containers, with the idea that JD Vance as a more virile man would have been able to impregnate Mrs Walz without the need for IVF.
The whole thing is both bizarre and disgusting... like WTF. I'm not embedding that. This does not even cover the whole MAGA "Cumala" or "Horse Semen" thing https://www.dailydot.com/debug/jd-vance-sperm-cups/

Hold up. Are you saying that Christiofacist Evangelical views do not align with those of a poor, brown, socialist, tradesman?
Get outta town, I don't think anyone can take your posts seriously!
"...a poor, brown, socialist, tradesman?" This is Jesus, right? If so, I agree. If not, was that on purpose? If yes, nice job. If not, you stumbled right into it, so ...good job?

If she endorses the Democrats and encourages her followers to get off their asses and vote, that’s gonna be a nightmare for the GOP. The Swiftie army are a loyal bunch, and there are millions of them.
Swift publicly endorsed Biden/Harris in 2020 as well as the Dem candidate for Senate in Tennessee, so I’d say an eventual Harris endorsement is very likely.
More than likely taking his chances Trump will pardon him. Rather than pay the legal bills and likely lose anyway, this way he saves the money and is still in the same boat of hoping for the pardon.
