My kid mispronounced them as "Famous Anus" and I've never been able to call them anything different since.

Great White singer Jack Russell, whose band's long climb to commercial success was overshadowed by a pyrotechnics display at a nightclub performance that led to one of the deadliest indoor fires in U.S. history, has died. He was 63.
A statement released by his family on Russell's social media accounts on Thursday indicated the singer died with family including his wife and son at his side. Russell posted last month that he was retiring from touring due to a diagnosis of Lewy body dementia and multiple system atrophy.
"Jack is loved and remembered for his sense of humour, exceptional zest for life, and unshakeable contribution to rock and roll, where his legacy will forever thrive," the family statement said.

Ron Barge, AKA “Buck Shot” of local television fame.
For years now I’ve gone to Glenmore Pool for my daily deep tank exercise. Ron would always be there with a bunch of seniors sitting in the lobby waiting for their aquacize class. Every day of a Flames game he’d be decked in team apparel - toque, jacket, jersey, scarf. The full regalia. Up until Covid closed the pool for awhile. Never saw him after that.
Went to high school with his son too.

My brother was lucky enough to appear on The Buckshot Show on his birthday. Even though decades have passed, I remember him on it like it happened recently. My brother was so excited, and Buckshot didn’t disappoint. In real life, Ron was as kind and genuine as he appeared on TV.
Rest in peace, Ron. And thank you.

Phil Donahue. He was only 88. I remember as a 3 year old my elderly baby sitter watching his show (probably daily, along with Price is Right, then Young and The Restless). The guy seemed like a grandpa back then in the mid-80s.

I believe he was the first person to do a program that spoke to a live audience on TV. He opened the doors for others like Geraldo and Oprah!

I still chuckle at this photo from a press junket for the 1968 film La Motocyclette (a.k.a. The Girl on a Motorcycle, a.k.a. Naked Under Leather), featuring co-stars Alain Delon and Marianne Faithfull:
That's Delon and Faithfull on the left, and the awkward third-wheel on the right is Faithfull's boyfriend at the time, some guy named Mick who was in some rock band.

Me guesses she wasn't all that "Faithfull" to Mick judging by this photo.

I've heard that Mick guy didn't exactly have any problems in the dating department himself.

I think over time he may have figured it out.
Mick Fleetwood found his way in the Galaxy. I know it's Mick Jagger.

Alleged domestic violence, and definite leanings toward white nationalism a bit more than a "bad boy mystique."
