Just what they need, Zegras and Laine. A team absolutely built to lose.
They should build around Sennecke, Gauthier, Mintyukov, Carlsson, McTavish and steer clear of these players that have low work ethic written all over them.

I have nothing of sustenance on this one in terms of what CGY is doing, but I can confirm that the Flames are not interested in Laine at all so he won’t be coming here.
The only tidbit I’ve been told is CGY’s involvement is likely salary retention for picks/prospects.

Both would need Laine to be retained to fit on their roster.

Maybe two of those teams (Nashville/Dallas) are negotiating for the same thing but only one of them will win the “bid”. If that’s true it’s probably either Columbus-Calgary-Nashville or Columbus-Calgary-Dallas. Total guess of course.
