I binge watched Supacell this weekend. I really liked it.
It's a sci-fi-ish show about people who mysteriously start to get super powers. I know the whole super powers thing is being done to death these days, but it has some unique plot elements. It's also more dark than a lot of shows out there with similar themes.

The new season of unsolved mysteries has a Calgary murder as the 2nd episode (S4E2)
Some crazy episodes in this batch, but for the Calgary episode... it sure sounds like
Spoiler!
she was dealing with migraines, ingested some weed and while talking to her husband on the phone, accidentally stepped on the dog. She then tripped face first into that weird opening of stairs while throwing her phone behind her. After being stepped on, the dog runs scared and knocks over the chair.
She smashes her face into the piggy bank then falls down the stairs. She most likely was knocked unconscious during the fall, then came too after significant blood loss, stumbled around in the basement then passed back out before dying.
What a ####ty way to die.

Watched the director's cut of Rebel Moon Part One. Over three hours long, but honestly didn't feel like it as the pacing was good. I quite liked it, but I'm a sucker for most things Sci-Fi. Felt like Dune meets Game of Thrones. I don't remember ever noticing this was in theatres or seeing a trailer for it though?? For such a movie of this scale that seems strange. Guess I'll have to watch part 2 now.

Finally got around to watching the episode and this is 100% what happened. The moment he showed the stairs to the basement I thought "that can't be to code, someone would die."

Huh. I never really thought about it before, but I'm pretty glad somebody found me at the bottom of a stairwell. It was like 3:00 in the morning, too!

Totally not watching that episode.
Oh yeah, that was you! I remember reading your story at the time, it sounded crazy. You basically woke up in the hospital and had no recollection of what happened, right?

Yeah, no recollection save for a few memories, which are more like shadows of memories. Still dealing with ongoing memory problems, migraines, and physical effects ever since.
The way my doctors describe it: your brain is like a filing cabinet. When you go to, say, Starbucks, you're writing that memory on a piece of paper, then you put that piece of paper in a drawer and close it so at a later date you can open the drawer and access that memory. But for me, I write that memory down and then immediately throw the piece of paper into the wind; it rarely makes it to the filing cabinet.
It's gotten much better ~five years later, though.
