As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case

I'll go with Kouz because at one point he was an actual prospect. Boltmann was an out of left field pick that was never a serious NHL prospect at any point in time. I have no other rationalization here.

I believe this is the last day we have Koumontzis rights, and would’ve been the last day we had Boltmanns but I believe that extends one more year because he transferred

A couple notable things about the prospect pool.

1. Our mid-high range prospects are 20 deep. It's a numbers game and some of these guys are going to hit in a big way.

2. A current 2nd round pick went 15th. Last year the current 2nd rounder went 7th.

3. The class of the league in terms of drafting is Dallas. Every site I checked had Grushnikov in their top 10. For us, he's 12.

I think we lose Boltmann's rights today unless he is signed, so I went with the other guy,

I also went with Koumontzis just because the Flames apparently have more long term control with him.

Only one prospect went up in rankings compared to last year. Conroy obviously impressed this community of fans with his first draft performance.
