Taylor Powell has been named starting QB for the Ti-Cats and Bo Levi was certainly not happy about being pulled from the game last week (refused to talk with TSN's Matthew Scianitti after the game). Bo was having a resurgent season in Hamilton as well (was leading the league in passing yards, TD passes, and red zone efficiency). DD needs to be keeping close tabs on that situation.

I wouldn't be shocked if Milanovich is fired if they lose to the Eskimos this weekend. Bo is still throwing some bad interceptions at times but the Ti-Cats offense has put up the most yards on offense this season and their defense has been the worse unit surrendering the most points in the league and bottom 3 in most defensive metrics. I don't know how you blame the QB for that.

Opinion piece, but has stats that show he is doing a lot of damage during garbage time.

When your defense is as bad as Hamilton's it's high odds that their QB will often be playing from behind. That game against the Lions it was 24-1 with over 8 minutes still left in the 2nd half. Bo in his prime wasn't good enough to overcome bad play like that. Maybe Powell can turn around their season? I don't know but what I do know is that the only coach in the CFL worse than Milanovich got fired weeks ago.

Yeah, and there is some validity in what is being laid out in that piece. I just think Milanovich overreacted to a very good athletic play by Darnell Sankey picking off Bo.

If I recall correctly, prior to this pick, James Tuck of the Ti-Cats coughed up a fumble for the 2nd week in a row so Milanovich was already fuming regarding turnovers.

He threw cross body into what looks like almost triple coverage. Bo has interception problems and throwing into coverage.

It was a good play, but a terrible pass that never should have been thrown.

Oh I agree...Pulling your QB not even 5 minutes into a game sends a terrible message to the rest of your team, in my opinion. Every player wants a chance to atone for a mistake.

He must have taken lessons on how to handle his QB's like Mike Keenan handled his goalies.

You know what I would love for football on TV and would make it so much better. On the bottom corner of the screen, put up a digital picture of the play from above with the routes down field and the coverage.

It shouldn't be that hard, you could put a tag in the players uniforms and track it from a drone.

Right now its tough sometimes for me to watch a game because you don't see what's happening down field until you see the replays and it only shows the person that gets the ball thrown to them.

Ed Hervey, should be the first to go. He hasn't had success building a roster in almost a decade. His stint in BC was ugly.

From the EE news conference:

Thompson is a poor speaker but a great businessman. He’ll probably be active on the business side but hands off on the football side. He dodged the question on a name change, but I think it happens in the off season. I think he’ll go back to Eskimos or maybe Esks, but Elks will hit the dust bin of history (good!). He only used the name Elks once in his remarks even when answering a question where Elks is mentioned. The EE logo will not go away. He’mentioned the idea of a new stadium, or Commonwealth will be seriously upgraded.

He attended his first game in 1972. I’ve been a fan longer than that a a season-ticket holder for (I think) 35 years. I like this change. It’ll be good for the team and for a league that needs this. He’s heading to Hamilton for Saturday’s game. He’s been working with them mayor to discuss a stadium and with team execs on possible changes.

This is great news for the CFL, we need to have more owners like Amar Doman in this league and judging by what I'm reading above, it sounds like Thompson is a big fan of the league. The CFL needs a good, stable franchise in Edmonton so I can go back to hating them rather than feeling pity for them lol.

A fumble on the first play from scrimmage by Logan leads to an Ottawa FG, but the Stamps answer with a TD courtesy of a Stevens QB sneak from a yard out.

Come on Barnes, Jake can't put that ball in a better spot, you need to catch that ball.
