Trump was rambling about what was worse, getting eaten by the shark or getting electrocuted by the battery when it sinks into the ocean. Or some stupid #### like that.
This is the same guy who was wondering if you could inject bleach or bring UV rays "inside the body" to kill Covid.
The sad thing is that that Johnny Harris video FIU posted brings up a tonne of good points, but no one is going to watch it because FIU is such a dishonest actor.
This would be something, I have twin cousins that live in Clearwater, both voted for Trump the last two elections but are now 100% on the Harris train, according to them the light has began to shine on Trump's BS and they hate DeSantis's policies on abortion, they think Florida is going blue in November.

It's not a terrible video and it does have some merits, but it'll take some time and effort to explain why it isn't actually a good contribution here. (It actually goes largely against Fireitups narrative and even the videos own narrative when you stop and think about it, and there's some extremely sketchy tricks played on the viewer.)
I'll see if I have the energy to take that time tonight. No promises.

I mean this kind of nails it in a quick tweet + article.
Sure but supporters of both sides and both candidates say their side is better for the little guy and more against the elites, so it's not a super relevant point to the election discussion.
Canadians who love Trump are a really strange bunch. For Americans, I at least understand the nature of the appeal (even if I don’t get the appeal myself), but Canadian Trump fans are like these weird guys who want to be included in something that has nothing to do with them and they were never invited to. American conservatives even think Canadian Trump fans are weird.
Trump is no friend to Canada, regardless of who is in charge. So Canadians cheering him on just look really dumb.

I think it’s great posters combat the outright lies from the Trump campaign and his supporters. You may never change the mind of the person you’re replying to, but you may get to someone else lurking. It just may be not be worth addressing the poster, but instead the points they shared.
What I’ve come to realize about Trump supporters over the past 10 or so years is that they fit into three boxes:
1. The Elites - They want what is best for them and the conservative policies always transfer wealth from the poor to the rich. Most of them won’t speak about Trump and definitely won’t tell you they will vote for him. The only ones in this category willing to openly support him do so under the assumption they will get an appointment or another promise from Trump. Most just want to silently support him due to the economics of it. They couldn’t care at all about women’s rights, public education, etc.
2. The Bible Thumpers - They do not care about any policies outside of how religion can be more ingrained into the political and public sector of our lives. Praying in school is more important than controlling the deficit. Banning abortions is more important than their own child’s education. They can easily support Trump because of the way they look at their own religion. They are the same people that use the Bible as proof the Bible is true. So of course it is easy for them to say “Trump actually meant…” when he breaks every commandment and brags about sexually assaulting women, dating porn actresses, cheating on wives, and so on.
3. The Deplorables - They actually don’t know what a policy really is and only like Trump because they feel this gives them the right to be openly racist, sexists, and overall hateful towards others living in America. These are some of the most uneducated people in America. They will never debate any quality points and instead go to the usual Truth Social bulletin points. If you bring up a real subject to discuss they will either ignore you (see FireItUp) or change the subject and deflect (also see FireItUp). These people love the drama of being his supporter more than they actually love Trump. Because they have nothing else to look forward to in their lives they get their joys from seeing how people react to their red hats and black & blue flags. Most couldn’t balance their home budget so they don’t see a problem with a President who added as much to the deficit as Obama did over double the years. They want one thing, freedom of speech without the consequences.
The truth is, Trump appeals to the lowest common denominators in American society. I don’t believe this was the case eight years ago and somewhat understand the reasoning for voting for him in 2016 (Dems fault for Hillary). However, anyone who voted for him a second time, let alone a third soon, is only doing so for their own self interest and nothing to do with making America great. It’s hard to watch family and friends here continue to parrot his talking points but can’t back anything up when I ask them simple questions. It’s been amazing to watch some of them see the light, but the ones that continue their support do so for very shallow reasons. But that’s all Trump supporters. They are not patriots. They are embarrassing.

The interesting thing is that the actions of groups 1 and 2 (specifically, the reduction in funding of education) creates more of group 3.

It is like seeing someone rocking a confederate flag in Canada, you just know they are a racist dumbass and cant even hide behind the 'history'
How people somehow decided this trust fund New York idiot is somehow their avatar is a tough thing understand really. It's very easy to do any lick of research and see his whole life has been about cheating the little guy and litigating people into nothing until they walkaway from contracts. He's never had strong business acumen. He's a fraud through and through. But for some reason they think he's fighting for them. If they knew anything about real politics and how their own circumstances are being played, they'd be Bernie supporters.
It's actually pretty easy to understand.
He was on reality TV as a "business man". If you ask them, they think the boardroom on The Apprentice was his actual boardroom. It was a set. Because his actual offices were cramped and crappy.
Pruitt wrote that The Apprentice “elevated Donald J. Trump from sleazy New York tabloid hustler to respectable household name. In the show, he appeared to demonstrate impeccable business instincts and unparalleled wealth, even though his businesses had barely survived multiple bankruptcies and faced yet another when he was cast. By carefully misleading viewers about Trump—his wealth, his stature, his character, and his intent—the competition reality show set about an American fraud that would balloon beyond its creators’ wildest imaginations.”
I think most Americans would rather have jingoistic cringe-pop, than classless twerking.
Either way, I think the Democrats want people to believe that Harris is popular, and Republicans want to know why she needs performers to boost the attendance at her rallies.
Do you live here, or does your analysis of what Americans/Republicans/Democrats are interested in come for X/tictoc?
I only speak anecdotally, but here in bright blue Chicago and brilliant red everywhere rural Illinois, no one gives a #### about twerking or number of people at any rally or any of that ####, but they do think this group of the GOP are creepy as #### weirdos. Women particularly vocal about this. It's only the true Trumpers left who support Donald.
My gut says this will be a landslide now, where prior to Harris I expected Trump to win. So popular enough I guess. We see

Donald Trump is quite literally a caricature of what poor ignorant people think wealthy powerful people are like. They've been duped.
It is frightening how little insight people have into the limits of their knowledge and capabilities.
Active public ignorance is a threat to destroy the progress we've made as humans.
It is baffling, but a large part of society have decided they will rely on influencers, content creators, and celebrities as their primary information source.
Donald Trump being a manufactured myth constructed by the same media group his supporters froth at the mouth over for being the lying liar enemies of the people is exactly the kind of rotten onion these boobs would be found inside.
