What is so delicious about this election right now is how the Trump strategy is just blowing up all around him. They invested so much money and effort in developing a strategy to take on Biden and focus on his age, physical condition, and cognitive failure, but now every single one of those issues has become central to Trump himself. The boomerang effect and the blowback is spectacular and self-defeating. The Trump strategy is greatly helping defeat Trump, like they didn't think this through and consider all options for their election strategy. The campaign is flailing and engaging with others whose reputations are also failing is an example of being blind to challenge they face. Using Musk as a means to access possible voters is yet another failure as Musk's reputation is so bad it is tanking Tesla and forcing prospective buyers away in droves.
I do wonder about how Trump really felt about last night's Xitter debacle? He spazzed out at the organizers of NABJ for their technical issues and starting 45 minutes late, but Musk's event also started 45 minutes late and was plagued with technical issues. I wonder if Trump was as pissed and disrespectful with his fellow racist as he was with black journalists?
To be fair to Trump, I think his insanity with NABJ was mostly about misogyny, and less about racism.
There is some discussion to be had over how racist Trump actually is and how much it's just him being a conservative populist, but his misogyny is just really obvious.

Really? He was a racist long before he became a Republican. There is a ton of evidence, no matter what FIU says.

Yeah but some people are saying he's super racist, and others are arguing that he's kind of typical for an almost 80-year old conservative white guy who has lived an extremely sheltered and privileged life.
There's nuance there, a debate to be had. Racist, or super racist? More racist than other potential GOP candidates, or about the same? Does his racism really stand out, or is he just more open about it?
Some people would also argue that this makes a massive difference. (I'm not one of those people.)
The funniest bit was how many times after the first 30 min where Musk was trying to end the interview and grandpa Dumpster Fire just kept rambling.
I think the cameras being off was intentional. Trump can disavow anything (everything?) that the general population would find offensive as "A.I.ing it".
His base of course laps up every word - Love North Korean and Russian leaders. Such patriots.
I wonder if he regrets not using his denture paste beforehand, and just popping in the teeth ad hoc.

Trump is both a misogynist and a racist.

Yeah I know not you, but whether you're a massive POS or just a POS, it's still just ####.

That's why Musk had to frame it that they were hit with a DoS attack (which X insiders have revealed as false to The Verge, and already made no sense); you've always got to give Trump someone or something else to blame. We know that the right wing think-tank approach is to always give the rubes someone else to blame for all of their problems so they don't see how you're using them, nor see your own incompetence, but it's amusing to see people in Trump's orbit use the exact same approach on him... always give him someone else to be angry at.
I think Stephen Colbert ended the Colbert Report at the right time. His right wing schtick probably couldn't have kept up with the insanity of the current MAGA crowd.

I for one am beyond grateful Jon Stewart came back to the Dailey Show. It was something we sorely missed during trumps 1st presidential term. And everything leading up to it.
Man, Colbert would make things even wilder and funnier if he came back for an election stint
